摘要： Device for separating out copies in web-fed rotary printing machines at a delivery of a folding apparatus having a main conveyor belt whereon a stream of folded copies are transported in overlapping, fish scale-like arrangement includes a roller pair adjacent the main conveyor belt for deflecting the stream of copies in a fanned-out manner, the deflecting roller pair including one deflecting roller rotatably supporting the main conveyor belt and another deflecting roller located upstream of the one deflecting roller and disposed in substantially horizontal alignment therewith, the other deflecting roller being engageable with the main conveyor belt so as to deflect it and the stream of copies in downward direction, a short additional conveyor belt drivingly engaged by the other deflecting roller and swingable about the other deflecting roller into a normal operating position thereof for transporting properly printed copies to a delivery system and also swingable about the other deflecting roller into another operating position thereof for transporting spoiled copies to a distribution belt, a tensioning roller rotatably supporting the short additional conveyor belt and swingable therewith about the other deflecting roller, a linkage system comprising a rocker lever and a coupling bar coupling the rocking lever to the tensioning lever, a separating roller carried by the rocking lever at a free end thereof and being swingable in among the fanned-out copies by the linkage system as the short additional conveyor belt is swung about the other deflecting roller into the other operating position.

摘要： A process is provided for filtering a liquid containing solids having a substantially different specific gravity relative to the liquid. The process includes the steps of providing a filter element having a hollow interior communicating with an outlet and being bounded by a filter mesh, passing a liquid containing solids having a substantially different specific gravity relative to the liquid against the outside of the filter mesh so that the filtrate enters into the interior and leaves the filter element through the outlet, and establishing a pressure differential between the interior and the ambient space so as to form an elevated pressure within the interior of the filter element, thereby irregular filter cake formations of the solids are at least substantially avoided because of the pressure differential between the outside of the filter mesh and the hollow interior. A filter for performing this process is also provided.

The fibers extend within the filter housing in direction between an inlet and an outlet of the housing. The contaminated medium is introduced into the housing through the inlet in a direction towards the outlet to flow past the plurality of the fiber bundles. The contaminated medium becomes filtered as it passes through the filter bundles without compressing the latter against the support.

摘要： In a pressure filter for liquid media a plurality of filter elements is supported by a removable hollow cross bar which, when the filter tank is opened, can be removed together with all or groups of the filter elements. The filter element has a flexible filter wall and preferably an outer fine meshed wall and an inner coarse meshed wall.Between the two wall portions a packing material is arranged. Preferably the entire filter element is a flexible tube element. Spray tubes are arranged in the filter tank which are also removable together with their supporting carrier member. The spray elements serve to rinse out the filter cake. This may be done by passing the rinsing agent successively at spaced time periods through individual groups of the filter elements.

摘要： A stay for use with a cover or the like and having a cylinder containing a pressure fluid medium and a piston arranged for movement into and out of the cylinder. The piston rod carries a piston which is slidably arranged within the cylinder and which itself is mounted on the piston rod for axial displacement relative thereto and has at least one opening that allows the pressure fluid medium to flow through the piston. The piston rod itself has two abutments, the first being arranged in the region of the interior end of the piston and the second being spaced from the first abutment, these two abutments having the piston arranged between themselves and limiting the axial displacement of the piston with respect to the piston rod. Moreover, the piston rod carries a cover element which is likewise axially displaceable relative to the piston rod and is adapted to close the opening or openings of the piston. A spring is provided to bias the cover element toward the piston such that the cover element closes the opening or openings of the piston while the piston and piston rod are stationary and the piston is in a position in which it is displaced toward the second of the two abutments. Finally, there is a third abutment which is on the piston rod and is arranged next to the second abutment, this third abutment serving the function of limiting the movement of the cover element toward the interior end of the piston rod.

摘要： A bookbinding machine wherein stacks of signatures are transported by the holders of an endless conveyor which moves the stacks seriatim along a paster. The paster coats the backs of successive stacks with wet adhesive and the stacks are thereupon transported through a heating zone where the adhesive is heated in the space between two elongated electrodes of a high-frequency heater. A pipe which extends along the path of stacks in the region of one of the electrodes has orifices which discharge streamlets of preheated air across the path of holders to impinge against successive stacks and to thus prevent scorching of signatures by heat which is generated by the high-frequency heater. The rate of flow of air through the orifices of the pipe is adjustable, and such rate preferably increases in the direction of forward movement of the holders.

The arrangement includes an endless conveyor having an upper run moving at a first speed onto which the products to be transported are placed uniformly spaced from each other and a first chain having a run parallel to the upper run and movable in the same direction and at the same speed as the upper run. A second chain, driven at a higher speed than the first speed, carries on a run parallel to the upper run a plurality of entrainment members, each movable from a rest to an operating position, and moved to the latter position when the respective entrainment member overtakes one of a plurality of actuating means fixed equally spaced from each other to the first chain. The entrainment members in their operating position project upwardly beyond the upper run to thereby transport the products thereon at the higher speed to the other end of the upper run of the endless conveyor.
