摘要： A liquid ejecting method for ejecting liquid by generation of a bubble includes preparing a head comprising an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, a bubble generation region for generating the bubble in the liquid, a movable member disposed faced to the bubble generation region and displaceable between a first position and a second position further from the bubble generation region than the first position; and displacing the movable member from the first position to the second position by pressure produced by the generation of the bubble in the bubble generating portion to permit expansion of the bubble more in a downstream side nearer to the ejection outlet than in an upstream side.

摘要： An ink jet cartridge includes an ink jet head unit for discharging the ink, and an ink tank unit having an ink supply port for supplying the ink to the ink jet head unit. The ink tank unit has a partition portion for partitioning between an ink storing portion for storing the ink to be supplied to the ink jet head unit and a negative pressure generating member receiving portion having a negative pressure generating member. The ink supply port is provided on the negative pressure generating member receiving portion. The portion has an ink communicating portion at an end portion of the partitioning portion on the side of the negative pressure generating member receiving portion where the ink supply port is provided, and makes contiguous the ink storing portion and the negative pressure generating member receiving portion in a movement direction of the ink tank unit when discharging the ink.

摘要： A method for manufacturing an orifice plate used for a liquid discharge provided with discharge port for discharging liquid comprises the steps of preparing a non-conductive plate having recessed portion formed on the circumference of the flat portion corresponding to the discharge port, forming a first conductive material peelable from the non-conductive plate only in the recessed portion of the non-conductive plate, forming a plate member by plating the first conductive material with a second conductive material by electroforming method after the formation of the first conductive material, and obtaining the orifice plate having the discharge port by peeling off the plate member from the non-conductive plate. With the method thus arranged, it is possible to materialize the same precision as in the glass mask used for photolithography, and make the variation of orifice areas smaller for the formation of highly densified orifices.

摘要： An ink container includes a casing, an air vent which is located in the casing, an ink supply opening for supplying ink out of the casing, and an ink absorbing material that is contained in the casing. The ink absorbing material retains ink therein, and has a generally rectangular parallelopipedal shape defined by sides of the ink absorbing material, and also has an ink supply portion for supplying ink to the ink supply opening. The ink absorbing material includes corner portions which are located between adjacent sides of the ink absorbing material. A preventing means prevents complete surface contact between the casing and said ink absorbing material by providing spaces between the casing and ink absorbing material which are in fluid communication with each other with a given space that is adjacent to a particular one of the corner portions that is most remote from the ink supply portion. The air vent is in fluid communication with the spaces.

摘要： A liquid discharge head is provided which allows production of a recorded image of improved quality by controlling the speed of flow of a liquid and the distribution of the speed of flow in a flow path caused in consequence of contraction of bubbles thereby stabilizing the direction of satellites arising behind main drops of discharged liquid and, at the same time, decreasing the amount itself of the satellites. This liquid discharge head comprises a movable separation membrane capable of effecting separation between a first flow path communicating with a discharge port for discharging a liquid and a second flow path furnished with a bubble generating region for generating bubbles in the liquid by means of a heating element and a movable member opposed to the bubble generating region across the movable separation membrane and furnished in the direction of liquid discharge with a free end to guide the displacement of the movable separation membrane induced by the growth of the bubbles in the direction of the discharge port and regulate the shape of displacement of the movable separation membrane as well.
