    • A method and arrangement in connection with an electric drive system are provided. The electric drive system includes an intermediate circuit with two or more supply units and two or more inverter units connected thereto, and an electric machine having two or more three-phase windings galvanically separated from each other. Two or more inverter units are connected to the three-phase windings. The arrangement also includes first main circuit switches to galvanically separate each supply unit from a supply, second main circuit switches to galvanically separate each supply unit from the intermediate circuit, first intermediate circuit switches to galvanically separate each inverter unit from the intermediate circuit, and second intermediate circuit switches to galvanically separate each inverter unit from the electric machine.

    • A foot pedal control for a surgical system, e.g., an ophthalmic surgery system, that adjusts to a number of different sizes of user's shoes. The foot pedal control has a treadle on which a user places his or her foot and a sensor that tracks the movements thereof. Adjustable lateral guides mount to the treadle and conform to both sides of the foot. The guides are shaped and positioned to conform to a wide variety of feet or shoes, and may easily be adjusted between users. A retractable heel stop converts between up for reference and down to enhance movement of the user's foot. A convertible handle may be stowed in a down position parallel to a base or pivoted up over the treadle for protection and ease of movement of the foot pedal control. The foot pedal control may be wireless and have various other electronic controls, and may have a dual-control treadle.

    • An apparatus for testing number of turns, used for testing the number of turns of a winding coil on an electrical machine stator with concentrated winding, comprising: a base (6); a rod-shaped rotor bracket (4) around one end of which an excitation coil (1) is wound and around the other end of which a standard coil (2) is wound; a joining member for joining the base (6) with the rotor bracket (4) so that the base (6) and the rotor bracket (4) can rotate relative to each other, wherein the plane of the base (6) is parallel to the rotor bracket (4); a fixing member for fixing the electrical machine stator (5) with concentrated winding to the base (6) so as to make the stator (5) concentric and coplanar with the rotor bracket (4); a galvanometer (17) connected to the standard coil (2), which is connected to the tested coil (3) of the stator (5) in reverse polarity to form a loop during testing. Also provided is a method for using the apparatus to test the number of turns. The apparatus for testing number of turns has a simple structure, is of great utility and can test the number of turns of a winding coil on an electrical machine stator with concentrated winding directly.
