The at least one modular structural section includes at least one beam and a load bearing deck preferably formed of a polymer matrix composite material. The deck includes a core having elongate core members having a polygonal shape, preferably a trapezoidal shape. Alternatively, the load bearing deck comprising at least one sandwich panel is suitable for applications such as barge decks, hatchcovers, and other load bearing wall applications. Methods of constructing a support structure utilizing the modular structural section including the polygonal, preferably trapezoidal core deck, and support members are also provided.

Hinges are used to removably attach the deck platform to the transom. Triangular support braces attached to the bottom of the deck platform extend downwardly from the platform and rest against the transom when the platform is in place. A railing extends upwardly around the outer periphery of the platform, and the effective useful length of the boat is enhanced by attaching two rearwardly facing swivel chairs to the upper edge of the stern of the boat.

摘要： Described is a vessel and device for upending an elongate element from a deck of the vessel using a lifting means. A number of support structures, mutually coupled and running parallel to each other, for supporting an elongate element in lying position can be displaced collectively, parallel to the deck, relative to the position of the lifting means by displacing means provided for this purpose. A support structure of the device includes an upending tool which is connected for pivoting around an axis running parallel to an edge of the vessel to the relevant support structure and is configured to support an elongate element received in the support structure when this element is upended with the lifting means, wherein the upending tool is rotated around the axis. With the device elongate elements can be moved within reach of a lifting means.

摘要： In embodiments, the kicker mount system comprises a deck mount unit connected to a kicker motor receiving unit, both cantilevered off of the stern end of pontoon boat deck. The deck having a horizontal deck pad and trim rail about the deck pad. The kicker mount system attaches exclusively to the deck on the deck pad and on the trim rail without any additional support structure securing the kicker mount system to the pontoon boat. The kicker motor receiving unit is vertically adjustably attached to the deck mount unit. The deck mount unit having an L-shaped pontoon deck plate with a horizontal portion that attaches to the deck top surface, and a vertical portion that attaches with a toggle bolt into the trim rail. Upright cantilevered extension plates project rearward from the L-shaped deck plate, the extension plates having a hump portion projecting upwardly above the deck plate.

摘要： A marine deck member and the process for forming the same are provided. The marine deck member comprises a sandwich-type composite panel made by a compression molding process. In such a process, the panel is made by subjecting a heated stack of layers of material to cold pressing in a mold. The cellular core has a 2-D array of cells, with end faces open to the respective layers or skins. The surface traction of this type of composite panel can be enhanced for marine deck applications by controlled debossing, or embossing, of the first skin while it cools in the compression mold. The debossing effect can be affected by applying pressurized gas, e.g., pressurized air, onto the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold. The embossing can be affected by applying vacuum pressure on the outer surface of the first skin while in the compression mold.
