    • A pencil has a pencil casing made of a sharpenable casing material and a core held in a central receiving bore in the casing material that extends in the longitudinal direction of the pencil. One or more optical fibers made of a sharpenable material is/are arranged in the pencil casing. The optical fiber or optical fibers extends in the longitudinal direction as well and are at least partially surrounded by the material of the pencil casing. A light entry surface of the at least one optical fiber is arranged at the rear end of the pencil casing such that a light source, which is present there, can be used to inject light to said light entry surface. The light exit surface of the optical fiber exits at the forward end of the pencil casing.

    • A combined writing utensil and light emitter assembly ensures that various accessories are readily accessible for use during hunting. The assembly includes a tube having a first end, a second end and a hollow interior configured to receive objects therein. A writing implement is provided having a main body and a tip. The writing implement is positionable within the hollow interior of the tube through the first end of the tube wherein the tip is positioned proximate the second end of the tube when the writing implement is positioned within the hollow interior. An light emitter is coupled to the second end of the tube. A first end cap is coupled to a distal end of the main body with respect to the tip. The first end cap is removably couplable to the first end of the tube for securing the writing implement within the hollow interior.

    • A lamp pen includes a pen body, a refill, a conductive rotating slide, a lamp, and a cartridge holding a battery. The rotating slide is electrically connected to the battery. A conductive bar on a surface of the slide abuts an end of the cartridge, which comprises a helical surface forming higher and auxiliary higher slots disposed at a highest point of the surface. A first lead of the lamp is connected to the battery, and a second lead is affixed within the higher slot. Rotating the slide causes the conductive bar to engage either the higher slot or auxiliary higher slot, pushing the cartridge downward so that the refill extends out of the pen tip. When the higher slot is engaged, the second lead of the lamp connects to the conductive bar, the electric circuit completes, and the lamp illuminates.

    • An illuminated marking device is described for use with colorless marking materials. The marking materials remain colorless until being transferred to a marking surface having a developer material disposed thereon that causes the marking material to develop a colored appearance. The marking material is contained within a marking device having a clear or translucent barrel and a lens integrated into a first end. The lens is tinted in a color similar to that of the developed color of the marking material. The first end of the marker is inserted into a light housing having a light source therein. Light from the light source is filtered by the lens and thereby illuminates the barrel of the marker in a color similar to that of the developed color of the marker. The glowing marker indicates the marking color of the marker and provides an enjoyable glowing experience.
