    • According to some embodiments of the present invention, an impedance transformation circuit is provided for use with a transmitter, a receiver, and an antenna. The transmitter may provide transmission signals for transmission by the antenna. The antenna may provide received signals having an associated signal parameter to the receiver. The impedance transformation circuit includes an impedance adjusting circuit and a controller. The impedance adjusting circuit is connected between the antenna, the receiver, and the transmitter. The impedance adjusting circuit is configured to change an impedance difference presented between at least one of: 1) the transmitter and the antenna, and 2) the antenna and the receiver, in response to a control signal. The controller generates the control signal to change the presented impedance difference in response to a signal parameter.

    • A doubly balanced transceiver system having a transmit terminal (TX), a receive terminal (RX), and an an antenna terminal (ANTENNA), 180° hybrids (201, 240), 90° hybrids (204, 304, 235 and 335), a power amplifier (230, 330) and a RX/TX switch (220) for disabling the power amplifier so that signals received at the transmitter are reflected to the receive terminal (RX). The 180° hybrids (201, 240) preferably split and re-combine signals into parallel paths. A loopback test mode is preferably provided by use of an antenna isolation switch (302) to enable a power detect terminal (POWER_DETECT). This eliminates pricey and problematic GaAs switches, and allows the use of low cost silicon for the power amplifier. The doubly balance architecture also has the advantage of eliminating common-mode noise, and reflection problems with the PA gain stages. Additionally, greater power can be extracted from the power amplifier. Further the arrangement has less insertion loss compared to a GaAs switch. Also, dependant upon system specifications, it may be possible to eliminate harmonic filtering at the power amplifier output.

    • The invention concerns a method in a digital network system for controlling the transmission of terminal equipments. Terminal equipment includes a PTT (Push-to-Talk) function in order to at least activate the transmission to be carried out to the said network system, and wherein the terminal equipment for voice control of the said PTT function also includes a VOX (Voice Operated transmission) feature, which can be activated/passivated and which is implemented by a VRE (Voice Recognition Engine) function. In the method stops are performed—the VRE function is used to search for an established keyword from an audio signal,—the established keyword is recognised from the audio signal,—a turn to transmit is requested from the network system,—a turn to transmit is received from the network system,—the transmission is connected and the granted turn to transmit is indicated,—the transmission is carried out, and—the transmission is passivated. In the said VOX feature before the said VRE function the audio signal is monitored by a VAD. (Voice Activity Detection) function arranged in connection with terminal equipments, and whereby when activating the said VOX feature in the terminal equipment steps are performed before the said partial steps the terminal equipment's incoming audio signal is processed with the VAD function searching it for a signal form in accordance with an established criterion, and—when a signal form according to the established criterion is detected in the audio signal, the said VRE function is activated to search for an established keyword.

    • A wireless receiving circuit includes a mixer, a buffer, an active low-pass filter, and a second order passive low-pass filter which are connected between a signal input terminal and a signal output terminal. The second order passive low-pass filter is for removing an interfering wave that cannot be removed by the active low-pass filter. In the wireless receiving circuit, a first capacitor and a second capacitor are provided. The first capacitor has one terminal connected to an input terminal of the buffer and the other terminal grounded. The second capacitor has one terminal connected to an output terminal of the buffer and the other terminal grounded. These two kinds of capacitors function as the second order passive low-pass filter by being combined with input and output impedance of elements provided on the upstream side and downstream side of the capacitors. Thus provided are (i) a wireless receiving circuit that can be integrated into an integrated circuit, can reduce power consumption, and can be designed easily, and (ii) a wireless portable device using the wireless receiving circuit.
