    • A flow sensor device includes a main passage having a normally open shut off valve therein which is configured to shut off at a predetermined rate of air flow therethrough. The shut off valve includes a seating structure and a centering structure positioned within the main passage, a sealing member being positioned between the seating structure and centering structure. The sealing member is biased toward the centering structure by a resilient member. Air flow through the main passage exerts a force on the sealing member which pushes the sealing member toward the seating structure. When the force caused by the air flow exceeds the opposing force of the resilient member, the sealing member contacts the seating structure in a sealing relationship such that air flow through the main passage is substantially eliminated. The flow sensor device may also include a controllable release valve and/or a controllable reset valve, enabling control of the shut off valve of the main passage. Further, an air pulse distribution device is also provided for controlling the reset valves and/or release valves of a plurality of flow sensor devices.

    • A 2-position 3-way solenoid valve having first, second and third ports and first and second chambers. The first chamber is communicated with the first port and the second chamber is communicated with the second and third ports. The chambers is partitioned by a barrier wall and are communicated with each other by a opening formed to the barrier wall. In response to a valve-actuated signal, a spool is moved in lengthwise direction, so that the opening and the third port are opened alternatively. When the third port is closed, the hydraulic pressure generated from a hydraulic pump is supplied to a brake wheel cylinder through the first and second ports to increase braking pressure. When the opening is closed, the hydraulic pressure within the brake wheel cylinder is decreased through the second and third ports to decrease braking pressure.

    • An irrigation system shut-off valve includes first and second hollow housing sections with are threadedly connected by an elongated pipe so that all of the sections lie on a common axis. A valve seat and a valve member concentric to said axis are present in the second housing section, the valve member being movable between a closed position wherein the valve member seals against the valve seat and an open position wherein the valve member is spaced from the valve seat. The valve member is moved between its two positions by a shaft which extends from the valve member along the axis through the first housing section where it is threaded into an end wall of that housing section so that when the shaft is rotated in one direction, the valve member moves to its closed position and when the shaft is rotated in the opposite direction, the valve member moves to its open position so that water can flow from an inlet in the second housing section through the bridging section to an outlet in the first housing section without any appreciable pressure drop.

    • A positive displacement pump includes a relief valve comprising an valve seat, a needle within the valve seat, a spring forcing the needle within the valve seat, a set screw pressing the spring against the needle and a spacer for mounting the set screw to the housing of the positive displacement pump. The relief passages are formed at the intersection of the valve sleeve and the piston. The valve seat threadably connects within the relief valve passageway to prevent the erosion of the passageway. The valve seat may be constructed from a plastic, hard rubber, or metal material and include a rubberized seal secured at one end of the valve seat. When the valve seat erodes to a point where it provides an insufficient seat for the needle, it is removed from within the relief valve passageway and replaced with a similar valve seat. By protecting the relief valve passageway from erosion by using an inexpensive, removable, and disposable valve seat, costly disposal or machining of the housing of the positive displacement pump is avoided.
