摘要： A diapering station formed of a single piece of material is divided by fold lines into three successive sections to cushion an infant on a support surface and store infant accessories for diaper changing. The diapering station is converted into a carrying bag for infant accessories by folding the two end sections inwardly, one over the other along the fold lines, onto the middle section, enabling the bag to be conveniently carried by a combination handle and back pack strap. A waterproof, removable pouch on the middle section of the station provides a clean surface for the infant's bottom and stores dirty diapers for subsequent washing. An inwardly opening pocket formed in one of the end sections of the station stores clean diapers, and storage of infant assessories such as bottles and food jars is provided in additional pockets formed in the other end section of the station. A cylindrical, bib storage pouch adjacent the strap handle in the station provides stiffness to the unit, folded to form the carrying bag. The ergometric design of the station positions diapers and accessories within close reach of the attendant during diaper changing.

When the extension frame assemblies are retracted the device serves as a backpack frame, and when the extension frame assemblies are extended the device serves as a cot. A pair of webs are used to support the weight of the backpacker when the device is in its cot configuration. A first of the webs is stretched tightly across the main frame assembly and supports most of the weight of the backpacker. A second web extends between the extension frame assemblies to support the extremities of the backpacker. The extension frame assemblies can be locked into a number of intermediate positions between their retracted position and their fully extended position so that the cot can be adjusted in length to fit the backpacker.

摘要： A combination sleeping cot and back-pack includes sheet material and supporting means attached to a frame, which is foldable from an elongate, sleeping cot condition to a relatively short and compact condition as a back-pack, and vice versa. The frame has a relatively narrow terminal portion adapted to fit against the back of a person carrying the back-pack and to support the lower limbs of a person using the cot, and has an opposite, relatively wide, terminal portion as an outer wall part of the back-pack and for supporting the trunk, upper limbs, and head of a person using the cot. Straps are secured to the frame so as to fit over the shoulders of a person carrying the back-pack. The sheet material attached to the frame preferably forms a pack bag under one of the terminal portions of such frame, usually the wide portion, so as to be inside the back-pack and under the cot to facilitate the loading and carrying of items and to make it unnecessary to unpack when using the cot.
