摘要： The subject application is directed to a system and method for the automated configuration for document input devices. A document processing device first receives a document, which is scanned to detect an indicia on one of the sheets of the document. The indicia, in the form of a barcode or watermark, are then decoded to generate job data representing a desired device configuration for processing the received document. The job data is then used to program a job processor and the document processing device outputs the document in accordance with the job data.

The DSC 12 generates an image file, in which the image data, image processing control data and an additional data are stored. The image processing control data, which is preset by the manufacturer, may be specified regarding each image. The additional data is the user-configurable data, which is stored into the DSC. The color printer 20 performs image processing based on the image processing control data and the additional data, which is included in the image file, and outputs the resulting image.

A main body CPU of the camera main body determines whether or not an image signal transmitted from the mounted camera head can be processed by a signal conversion processing section of the camera main body based on ID information and signal conversion processing information downloaded from the camera head upon mounting the camera head. When it is determined that the signal cannot be processed by the signal conversion processing section by the main body CPU, the camera main body sets a RAW data recording mode for recording RAW data on a recording medium by adding a part of the signal conversion processing information of the camera head as data without performing signal processing in the signal conversion processing section.
