摘要： A respiratory mask includes a mask shell defining an interior of the respiratory mask and a gas washout vent passage having an inlet forming part of the mask shell and in fluid communication with the interior and an outlet in fluid communication with atmosphere. The mask shell includes a tubular mask inlet adapted to connect to a breathable gas supply conduit. The outlet includes an interior surface that forms a smooth prolongation with an adjacent exterior surface of the mask shell, and the outlet is adapted to direct washout gas in a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the mask inlet and away from the mask inlet. The mask shell includes a body portion and a cap portion.

摘要： The invention is directed to a positive airway pressure (PAP) system with a head mounted harness assembly with a housing and a head position sensor located within or secured to the housing that detects the position of a patient's head, and communicates this head position information to a controller of the system which may be disposed within the housing having the position sensor or a second housing. The controller varies the output pressure of the pressure source e.g. a rotary compressor, based, at least in part, on the head position information provided by the head position sensor. In a preferred embodiment, the position sensor is an accelerometer.

摘要： A pressure support system that comprises a patient circuit, a docking assembly, and a tank. The patient circuit delivers a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a patient. The docking assembly has an inlet and an outlet that is adapted to receive the pressurized flow of breathable gas, and is also adapted to be connected with the patient circuit. The tank is constructed and arranged to be removably connected with the docking assembly, and enables the pressurized flow of breathable gas to pass therethrough. The tank is also adapted to contain a liquid such that a humidity level of the pressurized flow of breathable gas is elevated as the pressurized flow of breathable gas passes therethrough.

摘要： Disclosed is an artificial respiration device that includes a tubular element, which forms a main channel having an upstream part at the proximal end of the tubular element and a downstream part at the distal end of the tubular element. Auxiliary channels open into the main channel and deflecting means are located internal to the main channel. The deflecting means are configured to deflect jets of respiratory gas injected into the main ckannel through the auxiliary channels so as to converge the gas at a point of convergence inside the main channel. The tubular element also includes at least one lateral safety orifice that extends through a lateral wall of the tubular element at a location sustantially opposite the point of convergence, and which is configured to communicate air from outside the tubular element to the downstream part of the main channel.

The stationary portion includes a gas flow path defined between an external wall of the motor and a wall of the stationary portion, a first stationary vane structure located downstream of the first impeller, and a shield constructed and arranged to provide a barrier between the first stationary vane structure and the blades of the first impeller to isolate leading edges of the first stationary vane structure from an impeller blade pressure pulse. The flow path is of sufficient width to allow a flow of gas therethrough without introducing excessive pressure drop.
