摘要： A bed bug device to trap or stop bed bugs may include a substantially vertical back wall having a first layer of detachably connected adhesive to detachably attach to a bed, a top wall being connected to the vertical back wall to prevent a user from interfering with the operation of the bed bug device, a bottom wall being connected to the top wall, and a second adhesive being connected to the vertical back wall to trap the bed bugs. This bed bug device or a double sided adhesive tape or a slippery tape (one face is slippery and the other face is adhesive) may be stuck to a special mattress cover to generate an upside down rectangular prism box shaped bed bug device, so that bed bugs hiding anywhere in the bedroom may not be able to travel to the top of the bed.

摘要： A bed bug monitor and/or capture device includes a housing defining a substantially enclosed interior space and a deadfall trap; a harborage element mounted adjacent the deadfall trap that defines at least one pathway through which bed bugs can travel; at least one bed bug attractant element positioned within the interior space of the housing; and at least one opening defined in at least one wall of the housing at a location either on or adjacent the deadfall trap and/or the harborage element, wherein fumes emanating from the bed bug attractant element can escape through the at least one opening to a location outside of the device in order to lure bed bugs toward the deadfall trap and the harborage element.

摘要： The arthropod trap has a base with a plurality of sides that angle upwardly and inwardly toward a capture area in the center of the base. Multiple outwardly-projecting fins are disposed on or adjacent to the sides of the base. The fins also angle upwardly toward the capture area so that the fins guide arthropods into the capture area. The capture area includes a pitfall so that the arthropods topple through a pitfall opening and are retained in the pitfall. A trap cover fits over and at least partially conceals the capture area. In one embodiment, the trap cover provides a platform for the placement of light emitting diodes that emit light in a wavelength that appeals to the positive phototaxis instincts of the target arthropods.

摘要： Disclosed herein is an improved ant trap. The ant trap includes a base having a central opening and the opening is suitable for storing liquid. A bait trap is located centrally within the central opening to maximize the number of ants in the central opening at any point in time. The ant trap, in an exemplary embodiment, includes an electromechanically operated platform, which is movable with respect to the central opening. In a first position the platform forms an ant path from the base to the bait trap. In a second position the platform is moved into the central opening. The central opening is filed with a liquid toxic to ants, but safe to mammals and the environment, generally. For example, a solution of sweet boric acid and water is used to fill the central opening. Upon moving, the platform is immersed in the liquid, thereby exterminating ants found thereon.
