A device which can output a multi-viewpoint image can output the multi-viewpoint image based on the first output information, and a device which cannot output a multi-viewpoint image but a single viewpoint image can output the single viewpoint image suitable for appreciation based on the second output information.

    • An input apparatus reads a patient ID from an ID card and transmits it to a computer. On the basis of the patient ID, the computer obtains corresponding patient information containing a photograph of the patient's face and the patient's name, from a medical database, and then transmits the patient information to the digital camera together with the patient ID. The digital camera displays the patient information on the liquid crystal monitor to enable confirmation of the patient, who is a subject to be photographed. After the patient has been confirmed, the patient ID is filled in a header part of an image file for the image photographed using the digital camera, and the image file is transmitted to the medical database or the like. Thus, when identification information on the subject is recorded in connection with the photographed image, the input of the identification information is simplified, and the correspondence between the subject identification information input before photographing and the subject to be photographed can be easily confirmed. Further, the digital camera obtains locational information from a car navigation apparatus. The locational information is classified into added-to-image information added to the subject image (GPS information indicative of latitude, longitude, and altitude) and display information associated with the added-to-image information (the place name corresponding to the GPS information). The digital camera stores the location information obtained in a non-volatile memory and displays the display information (place name) of the locational information on the liquid crystal monitor of the camera. Subsequently, after photographing has been completed, the added-to-image information (GPS information) of the locational information stored in the non-volatile memory in connection with the image. Thus, if additional information input from an external device is recorded in connection with the subject image, the camera can be used to easily check what added-to-image information is used, whether or not the added-to-image information is correct as information to be added to the subject image, and the like.

    • The present invention provides an image sensor that includes a plurality of light-receiving elements and a charge output component. The plurality of light-receiving elements are disposed inside the image sensor in a matrix arrangement corresponding to respective pixels. The light-receiving elements each includes a light-receiving surface at a front face and accumulates charge in accordance with light amounts received at the light-receiving surface. The charge output component outputs the charges accumulated at the plurality of light-receiving elements to outside the image sensor. The image sensor is configured to enable incidence of light on rear faces of the plurality of light-receiving elements. The plurality of light-receiving elements are capable of accumulating charges in accordance with light amounts received at the rear faces.

    • An information recording device in which low-noise and clear image or audio information can be recorded by stopping the generation of a carrier in an oscillation section of wireless communication device during an imaging or sound recording process. The information recording device includes an electronic camera having recording unit which can record at least either image or audio information; wireless communication unit for transmitting the information to external equipment through wireless communication; a transmitting section including an oscillation section for generating a carrier used for the wireless communication; and imaging/image processing control unit for controlling the generation and stop of the carrier; and the imaging/image processing control unit causes the oscillation section to stop the generation of a carrier at least for a period from the time when the image or audio information is captured to the time when the image or audio information is recorded, low-noise and clear image or audio information can be recorded.
