摘要： A vehicle control system includes an active suspension mechanism for providing a rolling property of a vehicle in a cornering operation of the vehicle and a suspension control device for controlling the vehicle in accordance with the rolling property provided by the active suspension mechanism and changing from one rolling property to another. A rear wheel steering mechanism steers a rear wheel in connection with steering of a front wheel, and a steering control device controls the steering of the rear wheel in accordance with a predetermined steering property and changes the steering property for the rear wheel. One of the steering property and the rolling property is changed in synchronism with a change in the other of the steering property and the rolling property. When a reverse phase property is provided for the rear wheel as a steering property and a reverse rolling property is provided for the active suspension system, the visibility of the cornering direction and the operability are improved to accomplish an active operation property. Alternatively when a same phase property is provided for the rear wheel as a steering property, the running stability can be improved.

摘要： A rear wheel steering system of a four wheel steering vehicle comprising a rear wheel steering mechanism for steering a rear wheel, an urging device for urging a rear wheel toward a neutral position of the rear wheel, a motor connected with the rear wheel steering mechanism for providing the rear wheel with steering force against resilient force of the urging device, a clutch for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the rear wheel steering mechanism, steering position detector for detecting a steered position of the rear wheels, control unit for receiving a signal from the steering position detector and for forming a motor control signal by which the motor is controlled to steer the rear wheel. The steering position detector has at least three detectors for detecting a steered position of the rear wheel. A returning device is provided in the control unit for returning the rear wheel to the neutral position by means of the motor when an abnormal condition is detected in the detectors but at least two of the detectors have the same indication of the steered position of the rear wheel, and for disengaging the clutch to return the rear wheel to the neutral position by virtue of the resilient force of the urging device. The rear wheel is returned to the neutral position without making the steering of the vehicle unstable when the rear wheel steering system is an abnormal condition.

摘要： A rear wheel turning mechanism in a four wheel steering system includes a rear wheel turning rod which is connected to the rear wheels of the vehicle and is adapted such that it can be displaced and thereby turn the rear wheels. An electric motor is operatively connected to the rear wheel turning rod and the steering wheel and displaces the rear wheel turning rod, thereby causing the rear wheels to turn in response to operation of the steering wheel. A rear-wheel-neutralizing spring urges the rear wheel turning rod to the neutral position in which the rear wheels are held in the straight-ahead position. A pair of clutches are interposed in series between the electric motor and the rear wheel turning rod and are adapted such that they disconnect the latter from the former, which permits the latter to return to the neutral position under the force of the rear-wheel-neutralizing spring.

摘要： An electonic copying machine for making a hard copy of a remote original comprises a housing and an image pick-up unit pivotally mounted on the housing for vertical swinging movement between a raised use position and a lowered non-use position. In the housing, there are a scanner for scanning the remote original with a line of light projected through a transparent window plate, a recording head and image recording paper. In the image pick-up unit, there are a lens for forming a line image of the scanned remote original on the recording paper, a line image sensor for reading the line image formed thereon by the lens to provide line image signals according to which the image recording head records and image on the recording paper, shifting the line image sensor by a predetermined pitch in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the line image sensor. When the image pick-up unit is folded down, the transparent window plate is covered by the image pick-up unit and the lens is received in a space formed in a corner of the housing and the electronic copying machine then has the shape of a generally rectangular box.

摘要： A copying machine for making a hard copy of an original comprises an image sensor for reading an image of the original to provide image signals, a memory for memorizing the image signals after or before processing the image signals for necessary corrections, and a printer for printing an image on a copying sheet according to the image signal after image processing. Preferably, a thermal printing head and a heat sensitive sheet are used. The copying machine is compact and either is incorporated in a portable overhead projector or is used as a writing board copy machine. In the former case, the image sensor is disposed in a supporting arm for supporting an image projection lens assembly above a base section of the overhead projector on which a transparent original is placed. The image sensor reads a reflecting original to provide image signals and the thermal printing head prints a mirror image of the reflecting original on a transparent heat sensitive sheet according to the image signals provided by the image sensor, thereby providing a transparent secondary original instantly for projection. In the latter case, the machine includes a pattern projector for projecting a light pattern which will be deformed on the remote original according to position of the copying machine, whereupon a correcting circuit provides a correction signal. The heat sensitive sheet is formed with indicia near front and rear diagonally opposite edges, symmetrically with respect to the center of the sheet, to indicate at least the surface of the sheet to which a heat sensitive material layer is applied.
