摘要： A method and apparatus for cell access restriction, wherein a new access class (AC) definition including a WTRU barred-bit assignment is assigned during cell subscription. A cell access restriction information element (IE) is then broadcast when an operator is restricting access to a cell. The WTRU then can determine whether a cell is restricted based on a comparison of the cell access restriction IE to the barred-bit definition. A base station (BS) is able to transmit the new cell access restriction IE in a fast-read master information block (MIB).

摘要： A WTRU configured to receive a multicast, a unicast or mixed signal. A multimedia signal may be a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Signal (MBMS). The WTRU switches between an MBMS and a mixed signal and determines optimal time to switch between the MBMS and mixed signal. The WTRU switches between receiving the MBMS and mixed signal in an adaptive or semi-static pattern. A flat broadcast channel (BCH) structure in an MBMS dedicated cell is provided, eliminating need for a dedicated broadcast channel (D-BCH). An MBMS-dedicated cell uses a single paging channel for both paging-indicators and paging-record-blocks. A system information broadcast indicates flexible resource usage and paging-record-block limits. Tracking area (TA)/cell association is provided for an MBMS-dedicated cell and geographically co-located non-MBMS-dedicated cells. MBMS-dedicated cell system information is broadcast to regulate WTRU operation while receiving MBMS within said cell. Generic Access Profile (GAP) definitions is part of system information.

摘要： A method and apparatus for measurement reporting and event-triggered periodic measurement reporting in an evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) monitors cell-specific reference signals from a serving cell and neighbor cells to detect a reporting event defined for the E-UTRAN. Once a reporting event is detected, the WTRU sends a measurement report to the network. The measurement quantity may be a reference signal received quality (RSRQ). After detection of the reporting event, the WTRU may send event-triggered measurement reports periodically. The WTRU may send a scheduling request to the network for the event-triggered periodic measurement reports. The WTRU may send a termination indication if the event-triggered periodic measurement reports are terminated before a configured number of times. The WTRU may send an extension request if a specified number of periodic reporting has been sent but more reports still need to be sent.

摘要： A method and apparatus for multiple radio access technology (multi-RAT) access mode operation for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are disclosed. A WTRU and a network may enable a multi-RAT access mode of operation based on at least one of WTRU subscription, a service agreement of the WTRU, a roaming status of the WTRU, a selected access point name (APN), an Internet protocol (IP) flow class, a subscriber profile identity for the WTRU, requested quality of service, or a proximity indication indicating proximity to a cell supporting multi-RAT access mode. The WTRU may send a capability indication of support of multi-RAT access to a network, wherein the multi-RAT access mode is enabled based on the capability indication. A partial handover of bearers may be performed. In performing the handover, the target cell is determined based on a priority rule.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for sounding reference signals (SRS) configuration and transmission. The methods include receiving configuration of wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)-specific SRS subframes for transmitting SRS and upon receipt of a trigger, transmitting the SRS for a number of antennas. The SRS transmissions may occur in each subframe of a duration of WTRU-specific SRS subframes that start a number of WTRU-specific SRS subframes after a triggering subframe. For multiple SRS transmissions from multiple antennas, cyclic shift multiplexing and different transmission combs may be used. The cyclic shift for an antenna may be determined from a cyclic shift reference value. The cyclic shift determined for each antenna providing a maximum distance between cyclic shifts for the antennas transmitting SRS in a same WTRU-specific subframe. SRS transmissions from multiple antennas in the WTRU-specific subframe may be done in parallel. Methods for handling collisions between SRS and physical channels are presented.
