摘要： Disclosed is a process for manufacturing a fiber having at least a surface comprised mainly of a thermoplastic resin and carrying solid particles affixed to the surface, comprising the steps of: heating the solid particles having a melting point or a decomposition point higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin, to a temperature higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, bringing the heated solid particles into contact with the fiber while maintaining the temperature of the heated solid particles higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin to bond the solid particles to a fiber surface by fusing the fiber surface, and cooling the fused fiber carrying the solid particle to affix the solid particles to the fiber surface. Further, an apparatus of manufacturing the same, and a fiber having at least a surface comprised mainly of a thermoplastic resin and carrying solid particles affixed to the surface are also disclosed.

摘要： A method and apparatus for washing a sliced silicon ingot reduces the consumption of detergent used to clean the ingot after it is sliced to define individual semiconductor wafers. The ingot is taken as a unit mounted to a holder after slicing to a pre-washing machine. The machine sprays jets of warm to hot water onto the ingot and holder to flush away dust generated during the slicing procedure which has adhered to the ingot. The water spray removes much of the dust. Thus when the ingot is subsequently washed with detergent, less dust must be removed thereby increasing the effective performance life of a given quantity of detergent.

摘要： The present invention is intended to reconstruct or acquire the shape of an object without rotating it. A TV camera with a fish-eye lens is used to conduct the image-sensing of a vehicle as a moving object over a certain section of its path of travel and a background image is subtracted from each captured image to obtain a silhouette of the vehicle. The loci of movement of the vehicle's tires in each image are calculated and used to calculate the positions of the viewpoint of the TV camera and the vehicle relative to each other in each image. The shape of the vehicle is reconstructed by projecting the silhouette for each captured image into a projection space while holding the viewpoint of the TV camera and the vehicle at the calculated relative positions.
