摘要： A developing device includes a developer carrier, a developing case and a toner cartridge. The toner cartridge includes a toner case including a first opening and a first blocking member. The developing case includes a second opening, a second blocking member and an opening/closing member. The opening/closing member is swingable among a first position where the toner cartridge is detached from the developing case and the second opening is closed, a second position where the toner cartridge is attached to the developing case and the first opening and the second opening are communicate with each other, and a third position between the first position and the second position where the toner cartridge is attached to the developing case and the first opening and the second opening are closed. The opening/closing member swings from the first position to the third position when the toner cartridge is attached to the developing case.

摘要： A developer cartridge is configured to be detachably mounted in an apparatus main body and to accommodate developer. The developer cartridge includes a drive member and a display portion. The drive member is configured to be driven to move by a driving force when the developer cartridge is mounted in the apparatus main body. The display portion is configured to move together with the drive member. The display portion displays identification information relating to the developer cartridge in an optically readable manner. A detecting portion optically detects the identification information when the display portion is in a first position, and optically detects presence or absence of the developer in the developer cartridge when the display portion is in a second position different from the first position. An information determining portion determines information on the developer cartridge based on the identification information detected by the detecting portion.

A first axis line, which is an axis of the developing roller shaft, and a second axis line, which is an axis of the input gear, are disposed in parallel and equidistant in the front-rear direction. A part of the contact plate is disposed on the second axis line. A first line connecting an axis about which the input gear rotates and the developing roller shaft and a second line connecting the contact plate and the developing roller shaft are disposed parallel to each other. The distance between the first axis line and the second axis line equals the distance between the first axis line and the contact plate.

摘要： A developer cartridge provided in an image-forming device has a developer side casing that includes a toner-accommodating chamber and a developing chamber; and a plate wall disposed in the developing chamber for partitioning a thickness-regulating blade from the toner-accommodating chamber. When a thickness-regulating blade scrapes excess charged toner off the developing roller, the plate wall prevents this charged toner from returning to the toner-accommodating chamber. A flexible wiper for cleaning toner detection windows is attached to an agitator for stirring toner in the toner-accommodating chamber via a fixing member. The fixing member includes a support plate and a gripping plate disposed opposite each other with a slit formed therebetween. The wiper is inserted into the slit and is fixed to the fixing member when a boss protruding from a restricting plate becomes inserted into a through-hole formed in the wiper.
