    • A floor supported movable wall panel system comprises a movable wall panel having opposing sides, an aperture in at least one of the opposing sides, a floor support assembly engagable with a floor, the assembly comprising a floor engaging mechanism, a support mechanism upwardly extending from the floor engaging mechanism and intermediate the opposing sides, the support mechanism supporting the wall panel, the support mechanism including an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the vertical distance between the floor and the wall panel, and the adjustment mechanism being located so as to be accessible through the aperture. A resilient, flexible, retractable seal substantailly covers at least one aperture, so that the adjustment mechanism may be accessed through the aperture by retracting the seal to expose the aperture. A wall panel may be hingedly connected on each side of a wall panel, and the center panel may be supported by an overhead support system, such as a dolly. This permits the center panel to include a thresholdless pass door. In the preferred embodiment, each overhead support system comprises a distally variable, load bearing bias mechanism engaging the overhead panel support mechanism and the wall panel, whereby the overhead panel support mechanism bears an increasing load of the weight of the panel upon an increase in the distance between the overhead track and the wall panel.

    • A hydraulically actuated door for a large opening of a building comprises a door formed in two parts divided by a horizontal hinge line so that a lower part can fold up under the upper part in an open position of the door. The upper part carries two flanges one at each side which project outwardly from the front face of the door. A ram extends from the base of a door post upwardly to the flange so that an upward force from the ram pivots the door about a horizontal hinge line at the top of the door to an open position in which the door extends outwardly from the horizontal hinge line. A level mechanism including a push rod pushes the lower portion of the door in a folding action around the center hinge line of the door up under the upper portion of the door into the folded position. Force from the opening action is thus communicated at the base of the posts rather than to the building and the door provides a wide opening with little height encumbrance and the actuating equipment on the exterior of the building.

    • A folding door, containable in a cabinet, includes a door body foldable outwardly of the cabinet. A slide member is slidable along an inner surface of the cabinet toward and away from a front of the cabinet. The door body is angularly movably connected at its proximal end portion to the slide member by a hinge. A lock member is mounted on the proximal end portion of the door body so as to be angularly movable about an axis disposed at a central portion of the lock member. The lock member has an engaging portion extending obliquely toward the inner surface of the cabinet, and a contact portion extending toward the distal end of the door body. A urging member urges the lock member to be angularly moved in a direction to abut the engaging portion against the inner surface of the cabinet. A retainer member is provided on the inner surface of the cabinet for retaining the engaging portion of the lock member. When the door body is folded, a urging surface on the door body is engaged with the contact portion so as to angularly move the lock member in a direction to move the engaging portion away from the inner surface of the cabinet.

Alternate panels have first roller brackets carrying respective first rollers which ride in a vertical first trackway, and second brackets carrying spring loaded second rollers which ride in a second trackway angled at the top to determine folding sequence of the panels.     • An air tight shutter is provided having a set of pre-made bifold doors in conjunction with a frame wherein the shutters are manufactured to have tight tongue-in-groove reception area not only with respect to the bifold doors but also with respect to the bifold doors and frame. A burglar proof latch mechanism is provided such that a ball crank is turned by means of a handle thereby withdrawing elongated rod-like members from the frame section which then permits the bifold doors to open, or in the alternative, the ball crank is turned in the opposite direction causing the elongated members to penetrate an aperture in the frame and thereby lock the shutters in place. An assembly method for producing the shutter is also disclosed, along with the machinery particularly adapted for said assembly method. The machinery disclosed achieves the close tolerance required in assemblying of the shutter.
