摘要： An asphalt sealing machine for applying a sealant coating to asphalt pavement either alone, or in combination with fine particulate matter, such as sand. The machine includes a body supported on three wheels with the front wheel being a steerable driven wheel. The body includes a storage tank for the liquid coating material. Support beams are pivotally connected to the rear of the body and extend rearwardly to support squeegees, a paddle wheel, and sand dispensing device. The sand dispensing device is driven by one of the rear wheels and is provided with a clutch so that the liquid asphalt coating material may be dispensed alone or in combination with the sand.

The container has inwardly and downwardly extending walls, wherein the upper edge of the rear container wall, when the machine is in the loading position and untilted, has a distance from the ground which is smaller than the minimum distance from the ground to the edge of a dump body of a transport vehicle when the dump body is in the tilted position. The front container wall and the side container walls each include an upwardly extending prolongation connected thereto. The prolongations of the side container walls adjoin the prolongation of the front container wall.

摘要： A dispenser which fits between the box of a dump truck and its partially open tailgate includes a semicylindrical trough having an axially elongated slot in the bottom, an arcuate relatively narrow cover adjacent to and outside of the trough, end plates on the trough, end hangers supporting the cover and pivotally mounted on axles in the end plates, and a handle on one of the end hangers to rotate the cover to open and close the slot. A notched detent bar on an end plate holds the handle in selected positions. Clamps hold the structure to the tailgate and latch bars cooperate with latch hooks on the truck to hold the dispenser in place. A cage hooks on the tailgate to support an operator. Interior hook eyes are provided to lift the dispenser into attachment position on the truck.

摘要： A vehicular spreader has a pressure-compensated flow control valve receiving fluid from a variable displacement pump. Bypass fluid from the valve controls the displacement of the pump. The controlled flow of the valve feeds a manual selector valve having two positions. In one position, the selector valve feeds constant speed spinner motors for dispensing salt or the like. Connected in series with the spinner motors is a rate-responsive differential control valve which controls the speed of the conveyor motor feeding materials to the spinner as a function of ground speed of the vehicle. A feedback signal from the conveyor motor to the differential control valve insures an accurate, quick response even at low speeds. In another position, the selector valve permits high-speed operation of the conveyor for pit dumping with the differential control valve closed, or the use of an auxiliary hydraulic device with the differential control valve opened.

摘要： The method and apparatus provides for material from the discharge outlet of a vehicle body being divided into a predetermined number of equal but separate streams of material. A spreader belt projected transversely from one side of the vehicle body is divided transversely into sections corresponding in number to one half of the material streams. Each of the material streams is channeled to a corresponding transverse section on a spreader belt, after which the material is levelled to a uniform depth over the complete width of a spreader belt. The material is then progressively discharged to the ground at a constant rate in one direction transversely of a spreader belt and over the longitudinal length of such belt.
