摘要： Provided are a gas decomposition component, a method for producing a gas decomposition component, and a power generation apparatus. A gas decomposition component 10 includes a cylindrical-body MEA 7 including a first electrode 2 disposed on an inner-surface side, a second electrode 5 disposed on an outer-surface side, and a solid electrolyte 1 sandwiched between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a porous metal body 11s inserted on the inner-surface side of the cylindrical-body MEA and electrically connected to the first electrode, wherein the gas decomposition component further includes a porous conductive-paste-coated layer 11g formed on an inner circumferential surface of the first electrode, and a metal mesh sheet 11a disposed on an inner circumferential side of the conductive-paste-coated layer, and an electrical connection between the first electrode and the porous metal body is established through the conductive-paste-coated layer and the metal mesh sheet.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and device for producing a membrane module used in a membrane humidifier for humidifying air in a polymer fuel cell, in which a small amount of hollow fiber membranes are disposed in the center of the membrane module and a larger amount of hollow fiber membranes are disposed toward the edge based on the design of a potting cap. Dry air introduced from an air blower into the membrane can be distributed to the edge where the larger amount of hollow fiber membranes are disposed, thereby maintaining uniform humidification performance over the entire hollow fiber membranes.

摘要： Devices and methods are provided for generating electrical power using a capacitor. The capacitor has a catalytic working electrode, a dielectric, and a counter electrode. Power is generated by flowing a fuel (e.g., hydrogen gas) over the working electrode, charging the capacitor (e.g. by applying a voltage), flowing an oxidant (e.g., oxygen gas) over the working electrode, and connecting the electrodes to a resistive load, which allows current to flow through the load, between the electrodes. The inverse device (i.e., oxidant first, then fuel) functions similarly.

摘要： A portable, on-demand hydrogen generation system is provided for producing hydrogen and injecting the hydrogen as a fuel supplement into the air intake of internal combustion engines, more particularly to vehicles. Hydrogen and oxygen is produced with a fuel cell at low temperatures and pressure from water in a supply tank. The hydrogen and oxygen is passed back thru the supply tank for distribution and water preservation. The gases are kept separate by a divider in the tank and the water level in the tank. In the case of gasoline engines, the hydrogen is directed to the air intake of the engine while the oxygen is vented to the atmosphere. The device is optionally powered by the vehicle battery, a stand alone battery, waste heat of the internal combustion engine or solar energy. The system utilizes a vacuum switch or other engine sensor that permits power to the device and therefore hydrogen production only when the engine is in operation. Therefore, as the hydrogen is produced it is immediately consumed by the engine. No hydrogen is stored on, in or around the vehicle.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell preventing formation of a diffusion layer containing Ca and other elements, and having an excellent power generation performance at low temperature by preventing breakdown of a crystal structure of an electrolyte by firing. Disclosed is a solid oxide fuel cell which includes an inner electrode, a solid electrolyte, and an outer electrode, each being sequentially laminated on the surface of a porous support. The porous support contains forsterite, and has a Mg/Si molar ratio of 1.90 to 2.2 both inclusive, and an A-to-B ratio (A/B) of 0.0% to 9.0% both inclusive, where A denotes a maximum peak height which appears at a diffraction angle 2θ=26.5° to 27.0° and B denotes a maximum peak height which appears at 36.5° to 37.0° in a powder X-ray diffraction pattern obtained by using Cu-Kα radiation.
