摘要： The cryogenic rotary coupling comprises segments of a cryogenic line that are capable of turning relative to each other about a pivot axis of the rotary coupling. Radial retaining elements and axial retaining elements define the pivot axis of the rotary coupling. One of the segments comprises a vacuum-insulated double-walled female portion and the other segment comprises a vacuum-insulated double-walled male portion engaged at least in part in the female portion. A first sealing gasket is interposed between a free end of the male portion engaged in the female portion and one of the retaining means. A second sealing gasket is interposed between a free end of the female portion surrounding the male portion and the other one of the retaining elements. A heater device is disposed in the vicinity of the second gasket.

In order to obtain controlled crosslinking, it is possible to carry out 1) Physical crosslinkings, i.e. physical bonds between polymers—completely reversible bonds by thermal effect and/or mechanical shear—and 2) Chemical crosslinkings: monomers or polymers having functions allowing chemical bonds to be established between polymers.

摘要： A fluid conduit wall enclosing a hollow interior for the flow of fluid includes an outer surface provided with a low emissivity coating having a coating emissivity of less than 0.2 and a thickness at least sufficient to provide the coating emissivity. One embodiment provides a fluid conduit with multiple spaced-apart walls. An outer surface of an inner wall of a first member and an inner surface of an outer wall of a second member define a gap therebetween. At least one of such surfaces includes the low emissivity coating. A method for providing such coating deposits the coating, for example by reactive vaporization, concurrently on both surfaces from within the gap after assembly of the members.

When the insulation board is formed into a duct of the preselected dimensions, the shoulders of the kerfs adjoining the interior surface of the duct abut and, preferably, the insulation material in the shoulders of the kerfs is compressed. The flexibility of the insulation boards, in the direction of the widths of the insulation boards, is controlled by increasing the depths and/or the widths of the kerfs and/or decreasing the spacing between the kerfs to make the insulation board more flexible and by decreasing the depths and/or the widths of the kerfs and/or increasing the spacing between the kerfs to make the insulation board less flexible.

摘要： A continuous method of extruding an oriented plastic article of improved strength. A chemically reactive polymer, monomer or other compound is included in the matrix material(s) and a (multilayer) parison is extruded or melt formed having built-in thermoplastic orientation caused by shear or caused by elongational flow. A reaction can be activated in the molten state thereof by additional heat resulting in a cross-linked structure or at least the mobility of the molecules being reduced, resulting in a longer relaxation time which makes the freezing of permanent orientation possible. The soft matrix can be stretched while still hot in the hoop and/or axial direction. Then, the product thus obtain is calibrated and cooled in an oriented state.
