    • A system in an electric vehicle converts the mechanical energy resulting from movement of the vehicle chassis to electric energy. The system has one or more energy conversion units including an alternator with a rotatable shaft and a weighted fly wheel fixed to the shaft. A female receptor on an end of the alternator shaft is disposed in spaced, axial alignment with a male driver on the end of a spiral ratcheting shaft that is operatively engaged with a pivoting lever and the chassis of the vehicle, whereupon upward and downward motion of the chassis frame causes the male driver to move between engagement and disengagement with the female receptor. A ratchet mechanism drives rotation of the spiral ratcheting shaft upon engagement of the male driver with the female receptor, thereby rotating the female receptor, flywheel and alternator shaft. The male driver disengages from the female receptor, allowing the fly wheel and alternator shaft to freely rotate in order to generate electric energy which is used to continuously charge a bank of batteries for powering the electric vehicle.

    • The present invention relates to an energy cell (10) operable to generate a pressurized fluid for use as an energy source when a phase change material (PCM) changes from solid phase to liquid phase. The energy cell (10) comprises a housing means (12) holding the phase change material (PCM), and an insulating means (14) arranged between the housing means (12), and the phase change material (PCM). The energy cell (10) also comprises a heat exchanging means (16) encompassed by the phase change material (PCM) and comprising a number of pipe means (400), and a number of disc means (402, 404), each provided with a number of aperture means (500) and each encompassing a part of the pipe The energy cell (10) also comprises a centrally located, bladder means (410) which at its end parts are fixed to the energy eel! (10) and are open, and between the end parts being flexible. Each pipe means (400) comprises a heat transfer media. The phase change material (PCM) encompasses the pipe means (400) and the disc means (402, 404) and being able to pass through the aperture means (500). The bladder means (410) comprises a hydraulic fluid being able to flow in and out through the open end parts of the bladder means (410)3 and being affected by the phase change material (PCM).

    • Provided is a steam characteristics automatic measuring device capable of automatically, ideally also continuously measuring the characteristics of steam taken from a production well, without being affected by interfering components, such as hydrogen sulfide gas and carbon dioxide gas contained in large quantities in steam taken from under the ground, which enables the operator to continuously understand the characteristics of steam and support a smooth operation of a geothermal power plant. The device has a silica monitor for measuring a concentration of silica included in a condensate obtained by cooling steam taken from under the ground; an electrical conductivity meter for automatically measuring the electrical conductivity thereof; a pH meter for automatically measuring the pH value thereof; and a data processing transmitter for automatically transmitting data measured by each of the monitor and meters. A geothermal power-generating device equipped with the steam characteristics automatic measuring device is also provided.
