The mounting end is mounted through the dial cores. The locking end detaches from the housing. The locking shaft is mounted in the housing and selectively meshes the shackle with the dial cores. The key core is mounted in the housing, locks and releases the shackle by a key and allows a person to unlock the padlock when the combination is forgotten.

An elongate cable is biased into a normally retracted position by a fixed end thereof in the lock housing. The cable is extensible for being extended around the pole. The cable has a head on a free end thereof for engaging with the lock mechanism in the engaged locked position for encircling and securing the lock assembly and the carriage secured thereto to the pole.

摘要： An electronic lock for use with lockers has a recess or contacts for accepting an electronic ID chip as a "key". Upon receiving the current ID chip, the lock shifts a latch to unlocked position, with the latch or mortise being spring-biased. The construction of the electronic lock is modular, easily fitting on nearly all contemporary locker designs, retained by only a few screws preferably in the standard three-hole locker door prep layout. An outer housing on the outside of the locker door has an electrical plug-in connection through the door with an inner housing at the inside of the door, and the housing portions can be changed to opposite hand use. Power input ports preferably are included on the front of the outer housing to power the lock in the event of battery failure, and in addition, an audible beep occurs when batteries are low. An LED indicator can be included for status.

摘要： A padlock concept consisting of a novel shackle comprised of two tapered shackle elements arranged so that they overlay each other to enclose and opening sufficient to accept the staple of a hasp or attachment device. The shackle elements are connected at one end and when unlocked and unlatched are free to move apart, in a motion causing the two shackle elements to separate, providing a clearance between them, at the unconnected end. Each shackle element includes an opening to allow the staple of the hasp to pass to the common opening. This clearance occurs in opposing elements so that when the elements are brought together or closed the staple of the hasp is completely enclosed by the two shackle elements which substantially fill the space available within the hasp staple. The elements are then latched and locked to provide the security function of a padlock engaged with the staple of a hasp or attachment device.

A light is mounted on the housing, and a wheel is mounted within the housing and has a hollow portion defining a compartment. A cable is trained around the wheel and has a proximal end secured within the housing and a distal end adapted to be withdrawn from the housing, wrapped around one or more objects to be secured, and inserted into the housing in locked relationship. A battery is accommodated within the compartment and connected to the light for powering the light.
