In consideration of unification of component parts, the invention provides such a conveying installation being compatible with conveying systems having a variety of width using fewer kinds of component parts. The conveying installation incorporates a roller-shaped rotary body 11 to which ring bodies 12 are secured. Axial lines of respective ring bodies 12 are eccentric and inclined against axial line of the roller-shaped rotary body 11, and yet, adjoining ring bodies 12 respectively have 120.degree. of phasewise difference.

摘要： To provide a conveyor system for divergence and convergence, which is capable of always satisfactorily diverging or converging articles without regard to their size. When the roller axes 19 are orthogonal to the transport path 9, an article 60 to be transported is transported downstream by the rollers 16 without being sorted. When it is desired to sort the article 60, an angle changing device 30 is actuated to individually change the angles of inclination of the rollers 16, such that those rollers which are disposed in the upstream region are given a smaller angle of inclination, the angle of inclination being gradually increased. Diversion of the article can be effected such that it has its direction of orientation gradually changed from a smaller angle to a larger angle while it is gradually moved to one side by a smaller amount to a larger amount. The article 60 can be subjected not to an early (sharp) diverging action but to a sufficient diverging action; thus, it can always be satisfactorily diverged without regard to its size. It can always be satisfactorily converged by the reverse operation.

摘要： A caster roller unit for a freight conveyor track includes first and second support rollers to support the freight articles from below. The rollers are mounted on a roller carrier rotatably independently of each other about horizontally extending, mutually aligned axes. The roller carrier is supported on a stationary housing base member by a ball bearing assembly rotatably about a vertical axis which is eccentric with respect to the axis of the rollers. The roller carrier, for each of the support rollers, has an upwardly open bearing shell member in the form of a cylinder portion accommodating a plurality of bearing needles on which the respective support roller is rotatably disposed and the longitudinal axes of which are oriented parallel to the horizontally extending axis of rotation of the respective support roller. A housing cover member fixedly connected to the roller carrier embraces the support rollers from above to retain the support rollers and the bearing needles in the bearing shell member, with the support rollers projecting upwardly beyond the upper outward surface of the housing cover member.

摘要： In a sortation conveyor for cartons and the like wherein selected cartons can be diverted out of the main line to a branch line by means of diverter wheels which are directed obliquely with respect to the main line and which pop up into the path of a carton traveling on the main line to divert it to an associated branch line, the diverter wheel assembly comprises a plurality of diverter wheels arranged in two rows extending transversely across the main conveyor line, with all of these wheels being skewed with respect to the main line so that they define a course directed toward their associated branch line, and also a single further diverter wheel which is located downstream from the two rows of wheels at a position overlapping but spaced from the adjacent side edge of the main conveyor belt or other main conveying means so that if a carton, particularly a large carton, extends beyond the two rows of diverter wheels, the extra diverter wheel will prevent such carton from making frictional contact with the main line conveying means and will at the same time propel it toward the branch line. Preferably this single diverter wheel is driven at a higher linear speed than the other diverter wheels so that it not only prevents a diverted carton from being pulled back onto the main conveyor line, but accelerates its movement to the associated branch line.
