摘要： An apparatus is provided for receiving a molded carrier ring package and removing the electronic component from the surrounding ring while cutting and forming the leads of the component. The shear provides that leads on two opposite sides of a rectangulopiped component are cut just prior to the leads extending from the remaining two sides, during one stroke of the shear, such that the applied force required to cut all of the leads is reduced by acting on one-half of the leads at a time, and such that the applied forces are balanced on opposite sides of the component. Each of a punch and die is easily interchanged with a replacement, and a scrap remover is continuously adjustable during closing of the jaws thereof, so that it is a simple matter to change the tooling and otherwise accommodate devices of different sizes. Also, the apparatus provides for diverting the forces of the shearing and forming action from a shuttle for transporting the device so as to minimize wear and tear on it.

摘要： The excess covering material is trimmed from a workpiece using a blade assembly having side by side blade segments with cutting edges aligned with the contour to be cut. A rubber roller applies a longitudinal cutting force to the blade segments in sequential fashion by rolling across the blade segments ends opposite the cutting ends. The blade segments are returned to the noncutting position by a tension wire threaded through a notch in the shaft of each of the blade segments. Cutting pressure is adequate to cut through at least three layers of covering material without scoring the substrate. The rubber roller provides certain resiliency which helps control the cutting pressure.

摘要： In order that holes may be produced in a simple and safe manner in a plaster plate (1) to be used as sound adjuster in a room, holes (15) are punched out of the plate, e.g. in the shape of slits, by means of a cutting tool. Hereby the considerable dust and noise inconveniences caused by the hitherto known machining are avoided. By slits (15) that must lie close to each other, it is possible to punch in two stages, i.e. first with double distance and then in the space between. This prevents fracture of the plaster and tearing of any paper that may be on the surface. The cutting tool is provided with punches (7, 8), in a shape corresponding to the holes. Each punch is provided with an inclined blade (10) which forms an angle of the horizontal of 13.degree.. The cross sectional shape of the blade is V-shaped, with two blades (11) running along the sides of the punch. In this manner the material (9) is punched out in a gentle and even manner, whereby is obtained a perfect hole free from burrs and fractures of the plaster in the edge area.

摘要： There is disclosed herein a combined punch and binding machine which includes a frame, a plurality of pin receiving die openings, and a punch mechanism carried on the frame. An adjustable back gauge plate is provided for engaging an edge of the material to be punched and is positioned rearwardly of the die openings. The plate has a forwardly extending slide for adjusting the plate relative to the die openings and an adjustment indicia are carried on the slide. A cover is provided for covering the punch mechanisms and through the adjustment slide and for alignment with the indicia on the slide. A thickness gauge is carried on the cover for measuring the thickness of the material to be punched as the indicia thereon for indicating the measured thickness. The thickness indicia on the gauge is correlated to the adjustment indicia on the adjustment slide so that the position of the back gauge plate is set relative to the measured thickness of material to be punched.

摘要： Apparatus for cutting a tire into segmented pieces utilizes an even multiple of pairs of shear-cutting blades actuated by a hydraulic cylinder ram. The pairs of blades are arranged in radial symmetry, and each pair of blades comprises an upper blade and a lower blade, both of which have a cutting edge defined thereon, such that each pair of blades operates by action of opposed cutting edges. The lower blade of each pair is affixed to a frame, which may be trailer-mounted for mobility. The upper blade of each pair is affixed to a carriage movable on a track secured to the frame, and oriented with the cutting edge disposed at an acute angle relative to the cutting edge of the lower blade. Diametrically opposing upper blades are disposed at corresponding angles, and adjacent upper blades are disposed at different angles from one to the other. Thus, diametrically opposing pairs of blades function to simultaneously engage a tire for cutting and adjacent pairs of blades operate to sequentially engage the tire for cutting. As a result, less force is required to cut an ordinary automobile tire, or a larger tire may be cut with the apparatus.

摘要： A number of pairs of frozen fish slabs are arranged vertically in an equal number of laterally spaced vertical tubes or chutes constituting a magazine, each tube or chute having a partition dividing it into two open-ended compartments with a slab being slidably contained in each compartment. A cutter assembly comprising a blade carrier and a vertically adjustable table move as a unit at an acute angle beneath the magazine. The carrier has fixedly mounted at another acute angle thereon a plurality of flat blades equal in number to the number of tubes or chutes, each blade having a knife edge extending along opposite sides thereof so that when the cutter assembly is advanced in one direction the lower end of one of the slabs of each pair of slabs is severed and when retracted the lower end of the other of the slabs of each pair is severed to form individual fish sticks having a thickness determined by the distance the table is spaced below the plane in which the blades move. Whereas the thickness of the fish sticks is determined by the height of the table, the length and width thereof are determined by the cross section of the frozen slabs. The table has appropriately located openings therein so that the fish sticks gravitationally drop into angled troughs after they have been severed from the slabs. The fish sticks are then pushed from the angled troughs onto a conveyor in a uniformly-oriented manner suitable for food processing operations, such as breading and battering.
