摘要： A C-shaped yoke (42) extends over the top of a fixture (10) containing a part to be assembled. A first support frame (70) is supported on the fixture (10) and moves longitudinally therealong. A second support frame (94) is secured to the yoke (42) and is mounted on the first support frame (70) for vertical movement relative thereto. One linear actuator (128) connects one portion (122) of the second support frame (94) to the remainder thereof so as to provide a capability of yaw movement for the yoke (42), while another linear actuator (200) connects the second support frame (94) with the yoke (42) in such a manner as to provide a capability of roll movement for the yoke (42). A pair of actuator systems (54,56) are mounted on the lower ends of the yoke (42) for movement toward and away from each other. The actuator systems (54,56) contain the automated tools such as drill, riveting assemblies, etc., for performing the desired mechanical operations.

摘要： Devices for resizing ceiling tiles and like panels with the simultaneous creation of a reveal edge thereon comprises a table unit having a quadrilateral, flat top work surface and a pair of spaced apart, parallel tubular guide members supported on the table unit above the work surface in a plane parallel thereto. The work surface has an elongated slot therein extending longitudinally between the guide members. There is a motor driven cutter unit comprising a depending rotary cutter element and a pair of lateral slide parts contoured to rest upon and slide longitudinally along the guide members supporting the cutter unit between the guide members with a portion of its cutter element extending into the work surface slot. The device additionally has a suction unit that includes a conduit with an inlet juxtaposed to the cutter element and above the work surface through which debris created by operation of the cutter unit is removed as the device is operated.Methods for resizing ceiling tiles and like panels with the simultaneous creation of a reveal edge thereon using such devices are disclosed.

摘要： A weight compensating device especially for machine tools. In order to support the weight of a device, such as a machine tool, carried on a gantry or cantilevered beam and thereby to prevent vertical deflection of the supporting means and consequent vertical change in positioning of the device, there is provided supporting means above such device and arranged for providing a constant upward force on such device sufficient to compensate for the weight thereof. In the present embodiment of the invention, such supporting means comprises a trolley supported above the device and arranged for traveling therewith so as always to be in a position substantially vertically thereabove. A cable extends from the device to and around a drum supported on said trolley and hydraulically actuated means are provided for imposing a constant torque continuously on the said drum in a cable lifting direction.
