    • A container data center includes a container, a number of air filtering modules, a number of cabinets received in the container, a heat dissipation apparatus, and a controller apparatus. The container includes a first sidewall defining a number of air inlets and a second sidewall defining a number of air outlets. A number of shielding plates are rotatably connected to the second sidewall to cover the air outlets. The air filtering modules are mounted to the first sidewall aligning with the air inlets. Each air filtering module defines a through hole communicating with the corresponding air inlet. Each air filtering module includes a number of fans and a number of rotating plates rotatably connected to cover the through hole. The controller apparatus includes a first motor driving the shielding plates, a second motor driving the rotating plates, a temperature sensor, a switch controlling the heat dissipation apparatus.

    • A system includes a substantially sealed, substantially airtight cabinet sized for housing a vertical array of heat-producing units, the cabinet having an exterior shell and the system including an interior divider wall disposed inside the cabinet, the shell and divider wall providing an equipment chamber adapted to support the array such that the array cooperates with the shell and divider wall in use to define a first plenum, the first plenum having a first inlet defined by the divider wall for receiving a flow of cooling gas and having a first outlet defined by a plurality of openings through the array whereby the first plenum communicates with the openings in use to exhaust substantially all of the flow of cooling fluid through the openings and hence through the array, wherein the divider wall is configured to allow the first inlet to admit the gas to the first plenum in a substantially horizontal direction.

    • An Expandable Modular Information Technology (EMIT) Facility (EMITF) includes: an EMIT Building Infrastructure (EMITBI) having an initial enclosure that includes: a base pad providing a fixed usable space area on which one or more modular IT components are placed; and a plurality of exterior walls, including at least one removable expansion wall (REW) that enables expansion of the usable space area of the EMITBI; a plurality of modular IT components placed within the EMITBI on the usable space, and which dissipate heat; and at least one air handling unit (AHU) in fluid communication with the enclosure to support cooling of one or more of the IT components within the enclosure. As the EMITBI is expanded to include more IT components, additional AHUs are added to the EMITF in fluid communication with a respective area of the EMITBI to provide cooling to the added IT components.

    • New data center heat removal systems and methods allow a combination of active and passive thermal processes for removing heat from and cooling air in data center environments. Systems and methods include a data center heat removal system including an adjustable thermal feed cold air intake system, a distribution system for cold and warm air including one or more hot aisles and one or more cold aisles, and a convection system to draw cool air through data center equipment using a naturally-occurring convection processes to expel hot air. Misters, cooling elements, and/or freezer boxes may further cool the intake of air. A controller is programmed to efficiently manage and control the climate (e.g., temperature, humidity, air flow, pressure, air quality, etc.) within a data center to minimize the use for energy for air distribution and cooling.
