    • Computational enclosures may be designed to distribute power from power supplies to load units (e.g., processors, storage devices, or network routers). The architecture may affect the efficiency, cost, modularity, accessibility, and space utilization of the components within the enclosure. Presented herein are power distribution architectures involving a distribution board oriented along a first (e.g., vertical) axis within the enclosure, comprising a power interconnect configured to distribute power among a set of load boards oriented along a second (e.g., lateral) axis and respectively connecting with a set of load units oriented along a third (e.g., sagittal) axis, and a set of power supplies also oriented along the third axis. This orientation may compactly and proximately position the loads near the power supplies in the distribution system, and result in a comparatively low local current that enables the use of printed circuit boards for the distribution board and load boards.

    • A power conditioner assembly includes: first and second brackets and a power conditioner. Each bracket includes a rear portion adapted to attach to a rear portion of an equipment rack and a front portion that extends frontwardly. The power conditioner includes a housing having a rear panel, a first side panel mounted to the first bracket and a second, opposed side panel mounted to the second bracket. The power conditioner is mountable to the brackets in a plurality of orientations including: a rearward orientation with the rear panel oriented substantially vertically; and at least one angled orientation with the rear panel at an oblique angle to vertical. The brackets may also be adapted to attach to other mounting surfaces and/or other brackets may be provided for this purpose to provide additional mounting options.

    • A rack for electronic plug-in boards has board cages on the front and rear sides and at least one vertical backplane arranged between the board cages. The rack has an installation space provided underneath or above the board cages and into which fan modules can be horizontally inserted from the front side. A power supply module with an electronics unit supplies power to the backplane. The installation space continuously extends up to the region of the board cage on the rear side. The electronics unit is arranged in the region of the rear side of the rack underneath or above the board cage and defines the installation space toward the rear. The electronics unit is connected to the backplane by rigid electric conductors horizontally extending between the board cage on the rear side and the installation space parallel and at a distance from one another.
