摘要： A switch for a washing machine lid or the like detects welded load contact through an auxiliary set of contacts which shunt the load when the first set of contacts should be open and thus provide a high-current path when those contacts are welded. A series fusible link mechanically activates a set of disconnect contacts which disconnects the washing machine motor. The resulting switch has a single operator that may be collapsible to be self-adjusting permitting the switch to snap in place without the need for a separate adjustment step in the manufacturing process.

The security system includes a switch assembly (20) having a cylindrical housing (24), a magnetic switch element (26) removably received within the housing (24), and an outer removable cap (28) fitting over the open end of the housing (24) to permit selective insertion and removal of the switch element (26). When the housing (24) is positioned within a bore (21) of the fixed framing member (14), the cap is the only exposed visible portion of the switch assembly (20) and may be provided in a variety of preselected colors in accordance with the color of the framing member (14) while the remainder of the switch assembly (20) may be of a single base color.

摘要： An automatically resetting alarm switch includes a casing which may be mounted into a stationary frame of a window or other closure. The casing has a side opening through which a contact head protrudes. The contact head is connected to an internally located trip lever which, in turn, is in contact with a microswitch. A solenoid having a plunger also is disposed within the casing. The plunger is capable of shifting the trip lever. The contact head is coupled frictionally to a sliding surface of the closure. Upon movement of the closure, the contact head is moved which causes the microswitch to trigger a remotely located alarm device. The solenoid also is activated and the resultant movement of the plunger resets the contact head in readiness for sending another alarm signal.

摘要： The fundamental switch unit interposed in a conductor included in the circuit, comprises a permanent magnet carried for example on a door, and an armature carried on a door frame, so when the door is closed, the magnet attracts the armature thereto into contact therewith, thus providing a current path through said conductor. Said switch components are relatively movable from a normal rest position, independent of door movement. Use of two switch units eliminates need of a door cord. Use of four units can serve to break the lead-in and the leadout wires at the protected opening. With a small addition, a unit can include a normally closed switch, which assembly can serve in protective circuits which are either or a combination of open and closed circuit systems.
