The plurality of pivotal attaching devices are provided on the rotary support device in concentric relation to the axis of the rotation shaft. The pivotal attaching devices are engaged with the reciprocally-moving device, and are pivotally moved by the reciprocal movement of the reciprocally-moving device, thereby fixing and releasing the disk medium relative to the rotary support device.

    • In the disk clamping mechanism of the present invention, a turntable has a columnar section capable of fitting a disk-shaped medium and a circular supporting section capable of supporting the disk-shaped medium. A clamper has a circular pressing section and is magnetically drawn toward the turntable so as to hold the disk-shaped medium. A circular hole is formed in the columnar section of the turntable. A positioning boss is provided in the bottom face of the clamper and inserted into the circular hole. An outer circumferential face of the positioning boss is formed into a tapered face. The tapered face contacts an inner edge of the circular hole when the clamper is held on the turntable on which no disk-shaped medium is mounted. The insertion of the positioning boss into the circular hole is stopped when a distance between the pressing section of the clamper and a supporting section of the turntable is shorter than thickness of the disk-shaped medium.

    • A disk player according to the present invention comprises a magazine and a player portion. When a disk is played, the magazine is loaded in the player portion. In this separated state, a pickup arm which is equipped with a pickup and a chucking mechanism enters a portion between the plates. Thereafter, a claw member protrudes from the disk table, to clamp the selected disk through a center hole of the selected disk. The necessity of a member for rotatably pressing the selected disk from above is eliminated. Consequently, the disk player can be made thin.
