    • According to one embodiment, an interpretation apparatus includes a translator, a calculator and a generator. The translator performs machine translation on a speech recognition result corresponding to an input speech audio from a first language into a second language to generate a machine translation result. The calculator calculates a word number based on a first time when the machine translation result is generated and a second time when output relating to a prior machine translation result generated prior to the machine translation result ends, the word number being 0 or larger. The generator omits at least the word number of words from the machine translation result to generate an abridged sentence output while being associated with the speech audio.

The electronic circuitry is configured to reverse a video signal, separate an audio signal associated with the video signal into a first audio object and a second audio object, separate the first audio object into first audio blocks, separate the second audio object into second audio blocks, reverse the first audio object in a first reverse order, reverse the second audio object in a second reverse order, and sum the reversed first audio object in the first reverse order and the reversed second audio object in the second reverse order, the reversed video signal being played on the display module and the first and second audio blocks being played through the audio transducer.

    • An audio processing system (100) accepts an audio bitstream having one of a plurality of predefined audio frame rates. The system comprises a front-end component (110), which receives a variable number of quantized spectral components, corresponding to one audio frame in any of the predefined audio frame rates, and performs an inverse quantization according to predetermined, frequency-dependent quantization levels. The front-end component may be agnostic of the audio frame rate. The audio processing system further comprises a frequency-domain processing stage (120) and a sample rate converter (130), which provide a reconstructed audio signal sampled at a target sampling frequency independent of the audio frame rate. By its frame-rate adaptability, the system can be configured to operate frame-synchronously in parallel with a video processing system that accepts plural video frame rates.

    • The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software related product for handling interruptions, specifically passive interruption (or unintended interruption) for telephone communications (e.g., wireless) between users or user equipments (e.g., in LTE wireless systems). At least one monitoring electronic device can detect one or more unintended interruptions in an audio communication between at least two UEs in one or both communication directions before each of the one or more unintended interruptions occur. Upon this detection, at least one monitoring electronic device can provide an instruction to facilitate a shortened audio delay for audio data in at least one communication direction to offset the one or more unintended interruptions. The embodiments described herein may be applies to wireless/mobile communications and non-wireless/landline communications.
