    • A force compensating device includes a force generating unit configured for generating a compensating force that at least partially counteracts a tractive force acting on the force compensating device. The device includes at least one safety unit that is rotatable about a first axis of rotation and which, in the event of a malfunction of the force generating unit, can be moved by the force generating unit from an operating position to a locked position. The safety unit includes a first element and a second element that are rotatably connected to each other at a second axis of rotation, and at least one locking unit that blocks rotational movement of the safety unit from the locked position back to the operating position when the safety unit has been triggered due to a malfunction. A two-part safety unit in combination with the locking unit allows the safety unit to trigger and remain triggered in all fault situations. The force compensating device may be used in a medical system.

    • A portable projection screen system includes a foldable structure defining a viewing area. A projector mounting assembly includes first and second mounting arms spaced a selected distance apart. Each of the first and second mounting arms including a horizontal projector member located above the viewing area and extending forward of the viewing area. A vertical projector member pivotally connects to a backside of the viewing area in a plurality of positions. Each of the plurality of positions locates the horizontal projector member at a different height above the viewing area. A projector crossbar member slidably connects and moves between a plurality of positions that are each a different distance from the viewing area.

    • The instant disclosure provides a photo-frame-type display and a support unit thereof. The display has a display frame unit having a bottom portion disposable on a working surface. The support unit comprises a connecting base unit fixedly disposed to the back of the display frame unit, an inclining module pivotally coupled to the connecting base unit, and a rebounding module on the back of the display frame unit in elastic connection with the inclining module. The photo-frame-type display may be disposed on a tabletop in a fashion resembling a traditional photo frame, and the support unit is capable of steadily sustaining the display frame unit in a steep inclining configuration suitable for touch-screen/handwriting operations.
