    • An apparatus for transporting and supporting fire fighting ventilation equipment is disclosed. A fan support frame supports one or more ventilation fans thereon. Extending in an upward direction from the fan support frame are a pair of arms whose length may be adjusted. Pivotally attached to each arm near its upward end is a rearwardly extending leg. The length of each of the rearwardly extending legs may be individually adjusted. An adjustable length bracket is provided for each leg and arm combination to hold the two components apart at the desired angular distance. An extendable leg is also provided at the front of the fan support frame. Wheels are provided on the fan support frame so that one or more ventilation fans may be transported by an individual and the fans may be aimed at any angle of inclination by extending the legs so that they contact the surface underlying the apparatus.

    • Bipod mortar stand, having one support mechanism and one lifting mechanism, is disclosed. The support mechanism has two legs forming a bipod. Each leg is pivoted at one end to a bracket fastened to a central leg. Each leg has drive stops on the other end. A connecting rod connects each leg to an open ring mounted on the central leg. The ring moves up and down on the central leg and can be fastened on the central leg.The lifting mechanism is formed by the central leg and telescoping tubes and an interior tube is integral to a locknut and an exterior tube is integral to the mortar holding structure. An intermediate tube is capable of linear movement with respect to the other two tubes. A lifting device, mounted on the intermediate tube has conic gears, one conic gear is activated from an exterior crank and the other is integral to a shank which moves with the gear box and the intermediate tube. Anti-rocking guides are arranged on the exterior tube, the intermediate tube and the shank.The lifting mechanism raises and lowers the shaft with respect to the bipod stand, in such a way that the relative position between both always remains constant.

    • A boom assembly has an upright stand with a vertical hollow post and on top of which is mounted an elongated hollow boom adjustable in orientation in both vertical and horizontal directions. A linear extention member for the boom is also in the form of a hollow tube. The stand includes a plurality of legs each in the form of a hollow tube and there are a plurality of foot elements such as casters. The different parts of the assembly are secured together by couplings that preferably are the same in each case. Such couplings include a hollow body with an exterior surface of a size and shape to be inserted within an adjacent hollow tube. A pair of laterally-opposite slots continue longitudinally inward from one end of the body. A lateral spreader is of a size and shape to be located within that one end of the body. A lever has one end portion inserted within the spreader to effect spreading thereof upon lateral deflection of the other end of the lever. Carried by the body are adjustable means located inwardly of the open end portion of the body for laterally deflecting the other end of the lever.
