    • A lock mechanism enabling locking of a bi-parting set of right hand and left hand door panels respectively suspended from a right hand and left hand door operators, to be driven by the door operators for covering and uncovering an aperture disposed within a passenger transit vehicle. Such lock mechanism disposed intermediate the door operators. The lock mechanism is capable of operating in a pushback and non pushback arrangement providing a fully-locked state, for each of the two bi-parting doors of a passenger transit vehicle. The integrated design allows the central lock mechanism to be installed and/or maintained over a doorway with only minimal adjustments needed to assure that the door lock assemblies operate in unison. As compared to separate door lock assemblies for each door panel as is typical of prior art designs, the central lock mechanism enables the door panels to be closed and locked more reliably and with better sealing against weather and noise.

    • A motorized security locking system which is intended to be placed on the door of a high security enclosure and whose operation is reliable and more compact.     • An apparatus for opening and closing a door remotely includes a remote radio control, electrically operated strike plate, and a door opening assembly attached to the door. A double acting piston is attached to a fixture on the floor. An actuator rod coupling assembly allows the door to move freely in a normal manner when the apparatus is deactivated. The coupling assembly has a detent which will release the piston rod in case of a sudden excessive force on the door that would otherwise damage the apparatus. The piston is a double acting piston that includes pressure switches to deactivate the pump when the pressure exceeds a threshold to prevent damage to the assembly. The mechanism can use potable water as the hydraulic fluid to eliminate contamination and fire hazards. The electrical system uses 12 volt DC operating voltages to eliminate electric shock.

    • A locking mechanism for a safe container of valuable or dangerous items has an engagement element movable from a disengaged position to an engageable position thereof solely upon receipt of a controlled small predetermined amount of electrical power. When the engagement element is thus put in its engageable position, a manually operated element engages therewith and, under the influence of a further manual force input by a user, manually moves the engagement element to forcibly drive a lock-bolt from a locking position to an unlocking position thereof. In one aspect of the invention, the engagement element is connected to the rotor of a low power, low-friction electric motor having at least two magnetic detents, respectively corresponding to the disengaged and engageable positions. In another aspect of the invention, the required electrical power is generated solely during the course of the user inputting a predetermined combination code input, and a microprocessor controls storage and delivery of this stored electrical power to the engagement element to put it into its engageable position. Once the desired engagement is obtained, following the provision of the small amount of electrical power to the engagement element, the actual physical movement of a lock bolt of the locking mechanism from its locking to its unlocking position is obtained strictly manually. Once the lock is manually placed in its nulllockingnull mode, a subsequent unlocking thereof requires the provision of a correct and complete combination code input. Additional security elements may be provided to work in cooperation with the disclosed invention for enhanced security against attempts at unauthorized unlocking by imposition of magnetic fields.

    • A door lock able to be unlocked by a key or a remote controller, has a body and a bolt provided inside the body. The bolt has a recess defined therein, and a tooth formed at a bottom side of a first end thereof. Two upper sheets and two lower sheets are respectively provided in an upper portion and a lower portion of the recess. Four links are pivotally connected end to end by four pivot pins to form a rhombic structure and respectively provided between the upper sheets and between the lower sheets. Two torsion springs are provided between the sheets and respectively mounted on two transversal pivot pins and pushing against two longitudinal pivot pins. An upper cam is mounted at an upper side of the bolt. A lower cam is mounted at a lower side of the bolt. The upper cam and the lower cam each have two tongues for pushing the upper sheets and the lower sheets inwards, and pushing the bolt to transversally move. A longitudinal pivot pin which is inserted through the upper sheets, extends out from the V-like slot and is movable along the V-like slot when the upper sheets, the lower sheets and the rhombic links are pressed by the upper cam or the lower cam. The lower cam can be stopped by the tooth when it is anticlockwise rotated over, and will not block the bolt. Thus, a user still can unlock the bolt by a key.

    • A bayonet locking system for vending machines or the like is provided for locking and unlocking the machine preferably with a remotely controlled electronic operating device. The lock system includes at least one axially and rotationally movable bayonet that can be mounted selectively on the door of the machine and at least one receptacle receiving device disposed within the interior of the machine and positioned for engagement by the bayonet when the door is moved between an open position, an intermediate position, and a closed position. When the door is manually moved from the open position to the intermediate position, the bayonet advances into the receptacle and rotates to capture it in the receptacle. Then the bayonet axially retracts to pull the door into the closed position wherein a gasket disposed between the door and the vending machine is substantially uniformly compressed and sealed around its periphery. The locking device may also be provided with a remote control unit which provides instructions to the electronic circuitry of the locking mechanism. An axially rotatable pin with fins may be used with a bracket on either the door or machine to prevent prying of the door at opposite corners.
