摘要： An anti-smudge agent which is added to a coating composition for imparting smudge proof property with the coating composition, comprising a silicone resin containing a fluorine atom-containing organic group, which has a number average molecular weight of at least 1,000 and a molar ratio of the fluorine atom to the silicon atom (F/Si) of 3 to 50, said silicone resin being produced by hydrolyzing or condensing an organosilicon compound having a fluorine atom-containing organic group represented by the following general formula (I): R1R2mSiX3−m (I) wherein R1 is a fluorine atom-containing organic substituent, R2 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or phenyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, X is a hydrolyzable group or OH group, and m is 0 or 1; or a hydrolysate or a partial condensate thereof.

摘要： A binder formulation is provided that is capable of forming a heat and erosion resistant coating on the surface of a substrate, particularly a substrate comprising titanium or aluminum. The binder formulation comprises a metal alkoxide compound, such as a titanium alkoxide and an organosilane, such as 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GTMS). The binder material may be capable of strongly bonding the binder to the substrate. The binder coating may also include one or more additives that may help improve the heat resistance and impact absorbance of the coating. The binder may also include one or more pigments so that the resulting sol-gel coating has a desired appearance and properties. The sol-gel coating can be cured under ambient conditions and does not require additional heat curing.

摘要： A method is presented describing in situ preparation of the titania-based sol-gel PDMS coating and its immobilization on the inner surface of a fused silica microextraction capillary. Sol-gel titania-poly (dimethylsiloxane) (TiO2-PDMS) coating was developed for capillary microextraction (CME) to perform on-line preconcentration and HPLC analysis of trace impurities in aqueous samples. The sol-gel titania-based coatings demonstrated strong pH stability and enhanced extraction capability over other commercially available GC coatings. Extraction characteristics of a sol-gel titania-PDMS capillary remained practically unchanged after continuous rinsing with a 0.1 M NaOH solution (pH=13) for 12 hours.

The organic silica sol comprises a hydrolysis-condensation product P1 and a hydrolysis-condensation product P2. The hydrolysis-condensation product P1 is obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing (A) a silane monomer comprising a hydrolyzable group and (B) a polycarbosilane comprising a hydrolyzable group in the presence of (C) a basic catalyst, and the hydrolysis-condensation product P2 is obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing (D) a silane monomer comprising a hydrolyzable group.

摘要： The present invention is directed to an optically clear coating made from a composition comprising an epoxy-melamine resin. The coating is obtained on a metallic substrate and has a very rigid structure and a unique combination of properties that includes hydrophobicity/easy-to-clean, adhesion to bright chrome, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. The coating composition comprises (A) a mixture of at least one hydrolysable silane and one hydrolysable metal compound, the compounds of said mixture being partly or fully hydrolyzed and partly or fully condensed, (B) at least one melamine derivative selected from derivatives having formula (C3N3)(NR4R5)3, and derivatives having formula (C3N3)(NR4R5)3-p(NR4R6)p, wherein R4 and R5 are independently selected from H, hydroxymethylene and alkoxymethylene, with the proviso that at least one of the R4 groups is a hydroxymethylene or alkoxymethylene group, and R6 is —CH2—NR4(C3N3)(NR4R5)2 or —CH2-o—CH2-NR4(C3N3)(NR4R5)2, and p is 1 or 2, and either at least one partially or fully fluorinated, at least partly hydrolyzed and condensed silane compound, this compound being part of the said mixture (A) of hydrolysable silanes, or (C) at least one partially or fully fluorinated organic compound containing at least one group which may bind to hydroxy groups.

The chromium-free rust-inhibitive surface treatment agent is an alcoholic solution of alkoxysilane oligomer having weight-averaged molecular weight of 1,000 to 10,000, and 2.5 to 15% of silicon in molecules of the alkoxysilane oligomer has been replaced with titanium. To prepare partly titanium-replaced alkoxysilane oligomer, titanium compound, in which about a half of alkoxy groups in titanium tetraalkoxide has been chelated, is reacted with tetraalkoxysilane monomer or alkoxysilane oligomer in the alcoholic solution.
