摘要： The present invention provides methods of producing manufactured aggregates and other compositions from an encapsulated PCM slurry, suspension or emulsion by combining a cementitious binder and an adsorbent and/or absorbent with the PCM slurry. The encapsulated PCM can be introduced as damp cake or dry form as alternatives to the liquid forms. Fire resistant aggregates can be produced in an agglomeration process. The ingredients can also be mixed to form a viscous mass which can be extruded or otherwise formed to produce useful products.

The lightweight finish composition comprises a resin dispersion, alkali metal phosphate, alkylolammonium salt of a polyfunctional polymer, and lightweight aggregate such as silica spheres. The lightweight aggregate has a density and weight that is less than those of sand. The combination of alkali metal phosphate and alkylolammonium salt of a polyfunctional polymer stabilizes the lightweight finish composition by preventing the lightweight aggregate from absorbing water, after production of the lightweight finish composition.

摘要： A temporary matrix is provided in treating a subterranean formation by providing a composition comprising a matrix forming material and a matrix degrading material. The matrix degrading material is capable of degrading the matrix after a period of time when subjected to existing or induced conditions of the subterranean formation. The composition is placed into a wellbore penetrating the subterranean formation. The composition is allowed to form a matrix within the wellbore, whereby the matrix at least one of significantly reduces the passage of fluid across or near the matrix or provides structural strength. A treatment operation is performed on the subterranean formation or wellbore and the degrading material is allowed to degrade the matrix.

An embodiment includes a method of cementing comprising: placing an acid-soluble cement composition in a subterranean formation, wherein the acid-soluble cement composition comprises a hydraulic cement, a component selected from the group consisting of CKD, pumicite, and a combination thereof, and water; allowing the acid-soluble cement composition to set; and contacting the set acid-soluble cement composition with an acid to dissolve the set acid-soluble cement composition.

摘要： Polymerization of siloxane is improved using a gypsum-based slurry that includes stucco, Class C fly ash, magnesium oxide and an emulsion of siloxane and water. This slurry is used in a method of making water-resistant gypsum articles that includes making an emulsion of siloxane and water, then combining the slurry with a dry mixture of stucco, magnesium oxide and Class C fly ash. The slurry is then shaped as desired and the stucco is allowed to set and the siloxane polymerizes.The resulting product is useful for making a water-resistant gypsum panel having a core that includes interwoven matrices of calcium sulfate dihydrate crystals and a silicone resin, where the interwoven matrices have dispersed throughout them a catalyst comprising magnesium oxide and components from a Class C fly ash.

摘要： The method for recycling construction and demolition fines involves using mixed fines from construction and demolition debris that would otherwise be disposed of at landfills as an ingredient in cement or concrete. The mixed fines contain a plurality of materials selected from the group consisting of asphalt, plastics, ceramics, fiberglass and batt insulation, soil, dust, drywall, wood, plaster, paper, cardboard, dirt. The fines may also contain particles of recyclable materials, such as concrete, bricks, mortar, metals, glass, and the like. The fines may range in size from microns up to 6 inches in at least one direction. The recycler may incorporate the fines into a concrete mix for bulk sale to commercial enterprises, or may himself form precast, lightweight concrete products, such as decorative columns, pedestals and table bases, trim moldings and cornices, door surrounds, etc.
