At least one surface of the printing material is successively imprinted with a printed image. The printed image is recorded in a image pickup and an image signal of each printed image is generated. The image signal generated from a plurality of printed images is transmitted to a control device. The control device processes the electric image signals to obtain information relating to rhythmic vibrations in the machine causing register deviations. The cause of the vibrations is determined and counter-measures are initiated for minimizing or eliminating the rhythmic vibrations.

摘要： A separator abuts on a leading edge of a recording paper to separate it from a periphery of a paper roll when the paper roll is rotated forward in a paper feeding direction. The separator is attached to a supporting arm, which is urged by a spring so as to move the separator in accordance with a change of a diameter of the paper roll. The separator is provided with a vibration detecting sensor. While the paper roll is rotated backward in a winding direction, the vibration detecting sensor outputs a signal to a controller. This signal has a level corresponding to a scale of vibration. The controller detects the leading edge from the signal level when a head portion of the separator has overleapt the leading edge of the recording paper.

Yarn is wound by a winder in which a spindle 2 having a positively driven pressure roller 5 is positively driven, the pressure roller 5 being positioned so that it is not in contact with a tube 100 immediately after the yarn setting operation. After a predetermined amount of yarn layer has been wound on the tube 100, the pressure roller 5 is moved so that it contacts the yarn layer on the tube 100. The surface speed of the pressure roller 5 is controlled to be higher than that of an empty tube until the yarn is switched to the empty tube, wherein the controlled speed is approximately the same as or lower than the surface speed of a fully loaded tube, and the surface speed of the pressure roller is controlled to be approximately the same as the surface speed of the empty tube after the yarn has been switched to the empty tube.
