    • A hybrid power plant with a gas turbine engine that produces a hot gas flow that is passed through a power turbine to drive an output shaft. A second compressor and second combustor is driven by an electric motor to produce a second hot gas flow that is passed through the power turbine to drive the output shaft. at a cruise speed, only the gas turbine engine is operated to supply hot gas to the power turbine. At low speed or idle, only the second compressor and second combustor is used to produce a hot gas flow for the power turbine. At maximum power, both the gas turbine engine and the second compressor and combustor produces hot gas for the power turbine.

    • The invention relates to a coupling device between a shaft (14) and a pulley (11) as well as to an engine block suitable for being installed in a motor vehicle. The shaft (14) and a pulley (11) can rotate relative to one another about an axis (15). According to the invention, the device includes a separate declutchable means (36, 37, 40, 42, 45, 50) for driving the shaft (14) by the pulley (11) only allowing the shaft (14) to be driven by the pulley (11) when the latter is rotating at a rotation speed that is higher than a predetermined rotation speed. The engine block includes a heat engine, a reversible alternator for starting the heat engine and generating electric power, an accessory, the heat engine and the reversible alternator being suitable for rotating the accessory by means of a belt. The engine block includes a coupling device according to the invention between an output shaft (14) of the heat engine and a pulley (11) driven by the belt (10).

The power distribution system includes an electric motor/generator, a vehicle accessory drive system comprising a first accessory, and a power distribution apparatus. The power distribution apparatus includes a first power transfer member comprising a first shaft, the first shaft being configured to transfer power to the engine and from the engine. The power distribution apparatus further includes a second power transfer member comprising a second shaft, the second shaft being configured to transfer power to the motor/generator and from the motor/generator. The power distribution apparatus further includes a third power transfer member comprising a third shaft, the third shaft being configured to transfer power to the accessory drive system to drive the first accessory. The power distribution apparatus further includes a first clutch and a second clutch.
