    • A printing machine, which is configured as a printing tower having a plurality of printing units, is usable for double-sided, multicolor printing. A device that is usable for controlling the temperature of the components of one or more of the printing couples is provided. Each printing unit includes a plurality of printing towers that are disposed vertically one over the other. Each of these printing devices has at least one component that is to be temperature controlled and which has a thermal interaction with a fluid of a secondary circuit by way of an inlet. The secondary circuit can have fluid of a primary circuit entered by a feeding station for controlling the temperature. Components that are to be temperature controlled, and that are part of at least two different printing devices, have thermal interactions with two secondary circuits that are different from each other. A selectively actuable electrical heating appliance is provided in the secondary circuit in addition to the feeding station and at least one of valves and pumps and heating appliances that are associated with the two secondary circuits and different from each other are disposed on a machine front side at different heights or can be fed with fluid from the primary units by feeding stations that are disposed at different heights.

    • A system is provided for tempering, or controlling the temperature of a printing machine to maintain a desired temperature by the use of a cooling device. The cooling device prepares, on a first output, a tempering medium having at least one first desired temperature level, for a first supply current of the tempering medium for the components whose temperatures are to be controlled. The cooling device provides a first cooling process which can be carried out by a first fluid circuit. Tempering medium, which is to be cooled to a tempering temperature that is below the ambient, or an external temperature, are provided. A second cooling process is carried out by a device for cooling a second fluid circuit which is different from the first fluid circuit, by the use of outside air. The supply circuit, that is used to convey the tempering medium of the desired temperature, to the component whose temperature is to be controlled, can be coupled, in a thermal manner, to both of the cooling processes by the use of at least one heat exchanger.

    • At least one rotating component of at least one printing unit is regulated to a target value for a temperature, representing the component temperature, by a temperature controller. At least one drive of an assembly of the printing machine is regulated or controlled, on the basis of a target value for a rotational speed prescribed by a command level, with respect to a rotational speed to be maintained. For at least an operating phase transient, relative to the rotational speed, a target value prescribed by the command level, is modified. This is done by considering at least one member of a route and/or a control model characterizing the temperature controller and/or by using a rule (F2(θ)) for a dependence of a rotational speed on a temperature. The modified target rotational speed serves as a prescribed value for the rotational speed of the drives.
