    • A multiple tool attachment system is adapted to be attached to demolition equipment. The system includes a universal body attached to the demolition equipment. A series of tools is independently attachable to the universal body. The universal body includes a guide slot extending longitudinally along the universal body. Each tool generally includes a pair of pivotable jaws adapted to be pivotably attached to the universal body with at least one linkage extending from the universal body and attachable to each jaw of the tool. A slide member is received within the guide slot, with each linkage attached to the slide member, and a piston cylinder arrangement is attached to the universal body and coupled to the slide member for moving the slide member and the jaws. The multiple tool attachment system is provided with quick change features and is designed to optimize the cutting characteristics throughout the movement cycle.

    • Crank scissors, especially for cutting rolling strips, having two pairs of blades which can be secured to the blade carriers. The blade carriers are arranged in an opposite position on a vertical plane in a pair of eccentric drive shafts. Double-joint arrangements are maintained in a pivotable manner on torque-supporting levers co-operating with hydraulic control units that engage the levers. The blade carriers form pairs of heating surfaces, which are parallel to the axis, for the pairs of blades on approximately radial projections. The upper pair of blades is arranged on the inner, bearing surfaces of an arc-shaped recess of the upper blade carrier which are oriented towards each other, and the lower pair of blades is arranged on a relatively narrow projection on the outer bearing surfaces.

    • A hydraulic rescue tool (10) with a quick-change head (26) that incorporates a cylinder (20) having a piston rod (22) and a forward end structure (24). The forward end structure (24) has a separable head and a cylinder attaching bifurcated yoke (28). A pair of yoke quick release pins (48) jointly engage the head (26) and the bifurcated yoke (28) thus, creating an attachment therebetween. A pair of cutting blades (50) are connected to the head (26), and links (54) connect to the piston rod on a first end and to the cutting blades (50) on a second end, thereby forcing the cutting blades from an open position to a closed position by movement of the piston rod (22). A pair of link quick release pins (60) engage the links (54), creating an attachment therebetween, permitting the links to be released by manually disengaging the quick release pins, thereby allowing the head, including the cutting blades, to be rapidly removed or repaired.

    • An article breaking apparatus for being mounted on an arm of a vehicle, and including a first member having a first jaw on a first end thereof and a mounting attachment on a second end remote from the first jaw for permitting the apparatus to be mounted onto the vehicle arm. The first jaw includes an article-supporting surface. A second member is pivotally mounted for movement about a first pivot axis, the second member including a second jaw having an article-engaging surface cooperable with the article-supporting surface of the first jaw and defining an article receiving opening therebetween. The second jaw is movable about the first pivot axis relative to the first jaw between an article receiving position in which the article-supporting surface of the first jaw and the article-engaging surface of the second jaw diverge away from the first pivot axis and an article breaking position in which the article-supporting and article-engaging surfaces diverge toward the first pivot axis. The article-supporting surface of the first jaw is inclined relative to the first pivot axis, whereby, as the first and second jaws move from the article receiving position to the article breaking position, an article located between the first and second jaws will move along the article-supporting surface of the first jaw towards the first pivot axis by the movement of the second jaw against the article relative to the first jaw. The jaws are moved by a hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly. The apparatus is particularly useful for breaking railway rails.
