In an embodiment, the method includes taking at least two computed tomography recordings at different X-ray spectra or different mono-energies of the X-ray radiation and reconstruction thereof. A data point is determined in a diagram for each voxel of interest, the X-ray attenuation values for different X-ray energies being plotted against one another; The data point, or another value for each voxel of interest determined from the X-ray attenuation values, is compared to known data points or values of body tissue and/or of silicone, and a note or warning is output if the data point or other value deviates from the known data points or values for body tissue by at least a first threshold value and/or in the event of simultaneous approximation to the known data point or value for silicone by less than a second threshold value.

摘要： A multi energy, such as dual-energy (“DE”), x-ray imaging system data acquisition and image reconstruction system and method enables optimizing the image contrast of a sample. Using the DE x-ray imaging system and its associated user interface applications, an operator performs a low energy (“LE”) and high energy (“HE”) x-ray scan of the same volume of interest of the sample. The system creates a low-energy reconstructed tomographic volume data set from the set of low-energy projections and a high-energy tomographic volume data set from the set of high-energy projections. This enables the operator to control the image contrast of selected slices, and apply the information associated with optimizing the contrast of the selected slice to all slices in the low-energy and high-energy tomographic data sets. This creates a combined volume data set from the LE and HE volume data sets with optimized image contrast throughout.

摘要： Methods and apparatus combine patient measurement data with demographic or physiological data of the patient to determine an output that can be used to diagnose and treat the patient. A customized output can be determined based the demographics of the patient, physiological data of the patient, and data of a population of patients. In another aspect, patient measurement data is used to predict an impending cardiac event, such as acute decompensated heart failure. At least one personalized value is determined for the patient, and a patient event prediction output is generated based at least in part on the personalized value and the measurement data. For example, bioimpedance data may be used to establish a baseline impedance specific to the patient, and the patient event prediction output generated based in part on the relationship of ongoing impedance measurements to the baseline impedance. Multivariate prediction models may enhance prediction accuracy.
