The structure of the first contacting portion of the first contact is identical to that of one of the two second contacting portions of the second contact, and the structure of the first retaining potion of the first contact is identical to that of one of the two second retaining portions of the second contact.

摘要： A receptacle connector includes an insulative housing, a number of contacts fixed to the insulative housing and a shell enclosing the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a main portion, a mating portion and a fixing portion. The shell includes a first metallic shell and a second metallic shell fastened to the first metallic shell. The first metallic shell encloses the mating portion and cooperatively defines therebetween a mating space for receiving a plug connector. The second metallic shell defines a hollow space in which the first metallic shell is at least partly received. As a result, the first metallic shell and the second metallic shell have a strong structure which is stable for mating with the plug connector.

The insulative housing includes a mating face for mating with a plug connector and a mounting face opposite to the mating face. The insulative housing defines a number of contact-receiving passages penetrating from the mating face to the mounting face and a mounting recess recessed from the mounting face toward the mating face a certain distance. The conductive contacts are respectively received in the contact-receiving passages. Each conductive contact includes a contacting portion for electrically contacting the plug connector, a termination portion for electrically connecting with a Printed Circuit Board, and an intermediate portion connecting the contacting portion with the termination portion. The retainer seat is fixedly received in the mounting recess of the insulative housing.

The housing defines a plurality of passageways each having inside walls. Each pair of power contacts includes two separate, opposed power contacts.
