摘要： An image forming apparatus having an image bearing member having a substrate and a photosensitive layer having a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer, a charging device for uniformly charging the surface of the image bearing member, an irradiating device having a light source for irradiating the image bearing member to form a latent electrostatic image thereon, a developing device for developing the latent electrostatic image, a transfer device for transferring the developed image to a recording medium and a cleaning device for cleaning the surface of the image bearing member, wherein the charge transport layer contains a charge transport material represented by the following chemical formula, the light source emits light having a wavelength not less than 600 nm and the image bearing member is not irradiated with light having a wavelength less than 600 nm, wherein R1 and R2 independently denote a hydrogen atom, a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted cycloalkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aralkyl group, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 independently denote a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, cyano group, nitro group, amino group, hydroxyl group, a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted cycloalkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aralkyl group.

摘要： An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a sheet affixed at one edge portion and including a flat surface in the other edge portion. The flat surface is formed with a plurality of grooves each extending over the image forming range of a photoconductive drum perpendicularly to the direction in which the surface of the drum moves. The sheet is deformed such that the flat portion contacts the surface of the drum. In this condition, the downstream edges of the grooves in the above direction shave off the surface of the drum a plurality of times during one rotation of the drum, thereby obviating filming on the drum.
