    • The present invention proposes a voltage-regulator and a power supply having a current-sharing circuit. The voltage-regulator capable of current sharing uses an enabling terminal as a current-sharing control interface. A pass transistor supplies an output voltage and an output current to an output terminal of the voltage-regulator. A feedback control circuit generates a control signal to control the pass transistor in response to a reference voltage. A current-sharing unit is coupled to the enabling terminal and the feedback control circuit for generating a bus signal in response to the current-sense signal and the reference voltage and generating the reference signal in response to the reference voltage, the bus signal and the current-sense signal.

    • A low cost ballast circuit for fluorescent lamp is provided. A fluorescent lamp is connected in series with a resonant circuit having a transformer. A first switch and a second switch are coupled to switch the resonant circuit. A first winding of the transformer is connected in series with a capacitor to form the resonant circuit. A second winding and a third winding of the transformer are used for generating control signals in response to a switching current of the resonant circuit. The first switch and the second switch are controlled in response to the control signals. Furthermore, soft switching operation for the first switch and the second switch can be achieved by the present invention.

    • The present invention provides a control circuit for multi-channels power converter to save power at light load. The control circuit comprises a modulation circuit and an oscillation circuit to modulate the switching frequency of switching signals for power saving. The modulation circuit generates a modulation signal in response to the first feedback signal and the second feedback signal. The oscillation circuit is coupled to the modulation circuit to control the switching frequency of switching signals in accordance with the modulation signal. The switching frequency of the first switching signal can be linearly decreased in response to the decrease of the load when the second switching signal is enabled. The switching frequency of the first switching signal can be further reduced once the second switching signal is disabled.

A switching signal is generated in response to the feedback signal for regulating the output of the power converter. A signal-generation circuit is used to generate a sample signal in response to a first signal, a second signal, and the switching signal. The first signal is correlated to a magnetized voltage of the transformer. The second signal is correlated to the demagnetized voltage of the transformer. A sample-and-hold circuit is coupled to the transformer to generate the feedback signal by sampling the demagnetized voltage of the transformer in response to the sample signal. The feedback signal is correlated to the output voltage of the power converter.

    • The present invention provides a power-supply apparatus with a current-sharing circuit and a current-sharing method thereof. The power supply with a current-sharing function uses a bus terminal as a current-sharing control interface. A power circuit provides an output voltage and an output current to an output terminal; and it generates a current-sense signal according to the output current. A feedback control circuit controls the power circuit according to the output of the power-supply apparatus. A current-sharing unit generates and outputs a bus signal to the bus terminal according to the current-sense signal. The current-sharing unit also generates and outputs a reference signal according to a reference voltage, the bus signal, and the output current so as to regulate the output of the power-supply apparatus through the feedback control circuit.     • A switching controller having frequency hopping is used for reducing the EMI of a power supply. A pattern generator generates a digital pattern code in response to a clock signal. An oscillator generates an oscillation signal for determining a switching frequency of a switching signal. A programmable capacitor coupled to the oscillator modulates the switching frequency in response to the variation of the digital pattern code. An attenuator connected to a voltage feedback loop attenuates a feedback signal. The feedback signal controls the pulse width of the switching signal. A programmable resistor coupled to the attenuator determines an attenuation rate of the attenuator in response to the digital pattern code. The attenuation rate is increased as the switching frequency increases. The pulse width of the switching signal is thus reduced, which compensates the decrease of the switching period and keeps the output power and the output voltage constant.
