An apparatus of an access point (AP) is disclosed, where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to encode for transmission to a station (STA) a frame comprising a configuration hold subfield, the hold subfield indicating whether the STA should maintain a transmit configuration unchanged during uplink (UL) sensing. The processing circuitry further configured to encode for transmission a trigger frame (TF) for sensing, the TF for sensing including an identification of the STA, an indication of a resource unit (RU) for the STA to use to transmit an uplink (UL) sensing packet, and TF type subfield, the a TF type subfield indicating the TF for sensing.

摘要： An access point (AP) configured for wireless local area network (WLAN) sensing is configured to encode a trigger frame (TF) for transmission. The trigger frame allocates resource units (RUs) for receiving high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based (TB) physical-layer protocol data units (PPDUs) (HE TB PPDUs) from a plurality of client devices (non-AP STAs). The trigger frame may solicit each of the client devices to transmit an HE TB PPDU in accordance with an UL OFDMA technique or an UL MU-MIMO technique. The AP may decode the HE TB PPDUs received from the client devices and may estimate channel state information (CSI) for a radio link associated with each of the client devices based on an HE-LTF of an associated one of the HE-TB PPDUs received from one of the client devices. In accordance with these embodiments, the AP may process changes in the CSI of the radio links over time for a WLAN sensing application.

摘要： A system and method are provided that implement an inter-protocol adaptation layer (inter-PAL) pass-through processing scheme in wireless communicating devices operating with separate PALs to combine use of the individually-beneficial features of one PAL by allowing a first order capability for cross-talk between the PALs. A first PAL data packet is passed through the communicating system using a second PAL syntax. In so doing, a capacity to employ beneficial features of the second PAL advantageously in enhancement of the information in a data packet generated according to the first PAL is provided.

The invention is a wireless device with the ability to operate, transmit and/or receive, in one or more IMT bands and one or more non-IMT bands that are licensed to services and/or applications other than IMT. This is accomplished through inclusion in the wireless device of one or more radios operating in licensed IMT bands, an “IMT radio”, and one or more radios operating in licensed non-IMT bands, a “non-IMT radio”. A non-IMT radio could be a stand-alone, separate radio inside the wireless device or an extension or modification of the IMT radio in a way that it covers non-IMT bands.
