    • A liquid crystal display device is formed by arranging a plurality of scanning lines 3.sub.1, 3.sub.2, . . . to which scanning signals are successively applied and a plurality of signal lines 4.sub.1, 4.sub.2, . . . to which data signals are successively applied to intersect at right angles. Mounted in the vicinity of each of the intersections of the scanning lines 3.sub.1, 3.sub.2, . . . and signal lines 4.sub.1, 4.sub.2, . . . are a TFT 5 electrically connected to both of the lines, and a pixel electrode 6 connected to the TFT 5. A common electrode is placed to face the pixel electrode 6 with liquid crystals 2 therebetween. One of electrodes of a pixel capacitance formed by the pixel electrode 6 is connected to a common line 9 for supplying a common signal to the common electrode 7. A dummy scanning line 3.sub.0 for forming a capacitance is arranged outside of the scanning line 3.sub.1 located at the outermost position on a scanning start side of scanning signal. In this structure, since an equal parasitic capacitance is generated in the pixels irrespectively of their positions, it is possible to eliminate defects, such as deterioration of display quality due to an appearance of a bright line in particular pixels.

    • A storage apparatus has a channel board 11; a drive board 13; a cache memory 14; a plurality of processor boards 12 that transfer data; and a shared memory 15. The channel board 11 stores a frame transfer table 521 containing information indicative of correspondence between a LDEV 172 and each of the processor boards 12, set in accordance with a right of ownership that is a right of access to the LDEV 172. The processor boards 12 store LDEV control information 524 in a local memory 123, which is referred to by the processor board at the time of access. The channel board 11 transfers a data frame that forms the received data I/O request, to one of the processor boards 12 corresponding to the LDEV 172 specified from the information contained in the frame by using the frame transfer table 521.

    • A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixels each connected to a signal line via a switching element. Each pixel includes first and second sub-pixels having voltage vs. luminance characteristics different from each other with respect to a signal voltage supplied from the signal line. A threshold signal voltage of the first sub-pixel is lower than that of the second sub-pixel. The pixels form color display pixels which are red, green pixel and blue pixels. Where the area ratio of the first sub-pixel in each of the red, green and blue pixels is SR1, SG1 and SB1, and the ratio of the lighting-up time period of the first sub-pixel of each of the red, green and blue pixels in one vertical scanning period is TR1, TG1 and TB1, the relationship of (SR1×TR1)>(SG1×TG1)>(SB1×TB1) holds.
