    • An electro-optical device includes an insulating substrate, a switching element, at least one PIN diode, and at least one reflector. The switching element includes a first polysilicon semiconductor layer formed on the insulating substrate, and a gate electrode formed between the insulating substrate and the first semiconductor layer. Each of the at least one PIN diode includes a second polysilicon semiconductor layer formed on the insulating substrate. The at least one reflector is formed in the same layer as the gate electrode and opposite the second semiconductor layer or layers of the at least one PIN diode.

    • Aspects of the invention provide a driving circuit of an electro-optical panel that can include a plurality of power lines, a signal line, a driving device, and a protective circuit. The driving device can drive the electro-optical panel based on powers supplied from a power-supply circuit through the plurality of power lines and various signals input through the signal line. The protective circuit is provided between at least two power lines among the plurality of power lines, to which powers of different potentials are supplied, and can include an electrical path for dissipating static applied to one of the two power lines to the other. Accordingly, the driving circuit can increase resistance to static of an electro-optical apparatus, such as a liquid crystal apparatus.

    • To provide an electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus that have less parasitic capacitance between wiring lines resulted from the crossing wiring lines and operates at a high speed. The electro-optical device includes a first main signal wiring line which is arranged to correspond to a unit circuit and which transmits a predetermined signal; a first sub signal wiring line whose width is narrower than that of the first main signal wiring line; a second main signal wiring line arranged between the first main signal wiring line and the first sub signal wiring line; a first connection wiring line which is connected to the first main signal wiring line and the first sub signal wiring line and which is bridged over the second main signal wiring line; and an internal circuit having a plurality of elements connected to the first sub signal wiring line. The predetermined signal is branched from the first main signal wiring line and is supplied to the internal circuit through the first sub signal wiring line.

    • An electro-optical device includes a plurality of first electrodes that are disposed to correspond to intersections of a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines, a second electrode that is provided to face the first electrodes, an electro-optical material that is interposed between the first electrodes and the second electrode, and switching elements that control the potential of each of the first electrodes. The potential of the second electrode alternately changes, and a positive-polarity video signal and a negative-polarity video signal are alternately written into the individual first electrodes for each predetermined period via the electro-optical material. For the plurality of data lines, each of which supplies a video signal to each first electrode, a writing auxiliary circuit is partially provided so as to discharge electric charges accumulated in the data lines.
