    • Data deduplication compression in a streaming storage application, is provided. The disclosed deduplication process provides a deduplication archive that enables storage of the archive to, and extraction from, a streaming storage medium. One implementation involves compressing fully sequential data stored in a data repository to a sequential streaming storage, by: splitting fully sequential data into data blocks; hashing content of each data block and comparing each hash to an in-memory lookup table for a match, the in-memory lookup table storing all hashes that have been encountered during the compression of the fully sequential data; for each data block without a hash match, adding the data block as a new data block for compression of fully sequential data; and encoding duplicate data blocks using the in-memory lookup table into data segments.

    • A fluid cartridge for a fluid-jet precision-dispensing device includes a supply of fluid, a fluid interconnect element, and a feature. The fluid interconnect element establishes a fluid interconnection with a corresponding fluid interconnect element of a bracket upon mating of the fluid cartridge with the bracket. The fluid interconnection permits the fluid from the fluid cartridge to be supplied to the bracket. The feature is adapted to physically clear riser surfaces of the bracket upon mating of the fluid cartridge with the bracket so that the fluid cartridge properly mates with the bracket. The riser surfaces of the bracket at least substantially reduce a likelihood of damage to the corresponding fluid interconnect element by the fluid cartridge during mating of the fluid cartridge with the bracket

    • In one embodiment, a seal includes a body of resilient material having a generally cylindrical opening therein. A first, smaller diameter part of the opening is defined by a cylindrical inner surface having a plurality of bumps protruding therefrom, and a second, larger diameter part of the opening is defined by an inwardly bulging sidewall. In another embodiment, an assembly includes: a boss protruding from a boss base; an elastomeric seal comprising a collar and a flexible collar base supporting the collar on the boss base, the collar having an opening therein closely receiving the boss and the collar base configured to flex when compressed along the longitudinal axis and rebound back toward an original position when uncompressed; and a plurality of elastomeric bumps on the collar and/or on the boss, the bumps protruding into the opening such that the collar is supported laterally around the boss on the bumps.
