    • An approach is provided for a parallel printing solution wherein one of a plurality of printing devices is designated a “master” device and receives print data, portions of which are then transmitted to the remainder of printing devices for processing according to instructions from the master device. According to one embodiment of the invention, a user defines certain parameters and administrative criteria at a workstation, from which the user sends print data to the master device. In one embodiment, based upon user-defined parameters and independently acquired information, the master device divides the print data into print jobs and sends the appropriate print data to the plurality of print devices for processing.

    • A driving apparatus and method of an LCD device improves the brightness and the contrast ratio of an image. The driving apparatus includes an LCD panel for displaying an image corresponding to a data signal. A data driver supplies the data signal to the LCD panel. A gate driver supplies a scan signal to the LCD panel. A picture quality improving unit generates a histogram by dividing brightness components of input data into levels, generates data with an extended contrast ratio, and then generates a brightness control signal according to the average value of the histogram. A timing controller supplies reordered data, and controls the data driver and the gate driver. A backlight provides light to the LCD panel. An inverter drives the backlight based on the brightness control signal.

    • A method for driving a flat panel display to improve an image quality and a lifetime of the flat panel display is disclosed. The method for driving the flat panel display includes the steps of: a) storing electric-charges contained in a parasitic capacitor of a data line and a pixel-storage capacitor (Cst) in each pixel via a pixel transistor connected to the data line, which enters a floating state during a predetermined time other than a light-emitting time caused by a data-current writing operation, until a current voltage reaches a threshold voltage of the pixel transistor; and b) performing the writing of a data current corresponding to a pixel to be driven by the data line via the pixel transistor, such that the flat panel display emits light.

    • Provided is a method of integrating an organic light emitting diode (OLED) and an organic field effect transistor (OFET) including: preparing an organic field effect transistor including at least one first electrode and an organic semiconductor on a first substrate; preparing an organic light emitting diode including at least one second electrode and an organic emission layer on a second substrate; disposing the OFET and the OLED to make the first and second electrodes opposite to each other; inserting an insulating layer, to which a predetermined metal contact line for electrically connecting the first and second electrodes is securely fixed, between the OFET and the OLED; and adhering the OFET and the OLED to integrate them as one device, whereby it is possible to effectively perform active driving, to extend a lifetime due to a high aperture ratio, and to produce the device using a simple process at a low cost.
