    • The present invention provides a delayed spray actuator for aerosol which is convenient for a user at the time of an ejection operation, that is simple in the entire construction, and that elongates a delayed time period. When a valve member 1 is depressed, the valve member 1, a cover member 5 and a stem 1 are moved downwardly to open a valve portion of the stem 10 and an outer sheath portion 7 is held in a state in which a protruded portion 7a thereof is engaged with a protruded portion 15c of a cover body 15. In this state, an end portion of a skirt portion 4c of a sheath-like responding portion 4 is closely contacted with a small diameter portion 6b of an inner circumferential surface of an inner cylinder portion 6, and a flow passage defined by a hole portion 6e, a groove portion 4b, and an output side hole portion 2a is closed. Then, the sheath-like responding portion 4 is moved upwardly by pressure of the content introduced, and the end portion of the skirt 4c is forced from the small diameter portion 6b into the large diameter portion 6a, upon which the end portion is released from the inner circumferential surface of the inner cylindrical portion 6 and the content flows through the clearance therebetween to the groove 4b and the output side hole portion 2a. Reference numeral 7d designates an ambient air sucking space portion. Such an example is also included that an ejection surface of the output side hole portion 2a is formed into a tapered shape of 5 to 20 degrees.

    • A discharging lamp lighting apparatus is provided to perform lighting control of high voltage discharging lamps such as high pressure sodium lamp or metal halide lamp. In the discharging lamp lighting apparatus, a control section determines a power control pattern balancing with stored discharging lamp stable voltage so as to perform power control of the discharging lamp according to the pattern. If no voltage is stored, the control section performs the power control according to a power control pattern balancing with the minimum rated voltage of the discharging lamp. Then, it is possible to store the voltage when the discharging lamp is stabilized. If the discharging lamp is exchanged, the control section erases contents in stable voltage storing means so as to perform the lighting control of the discharging lamp from an initial state. As a result, the discharging lamp lighting apparatus can continuously perform the lighting control with the optimal rise characteristic of the amount of light even if characteristics of the discharging lamp may be varied due to, for example, degradation thereof.

    • An image printer includes a controller for controlling image printer operations, an image storing device for storing image data, an image printer including a print head for printing image data stored in the image storing device and a print position setter for setting a print position of the image printing means. The controller provides current position data to the print position setter, and the left print position is set in accordance with a current position of the print head of the image printer. A right position is set by adding a horizontal printing width of the stored image to the left print position. Alternatively, the controller provides current position data to the print position setter, and the right print position of the stored image is set to a current position of the print head of the image printer and a left position is set by subtracting a horizontal printing width of the stored image from the right print position. In either case, the print head is moved to the set positions and the operator is provided with the opportunity to alter the positions if the positions are deemed unacceptable.

    • An electronic system for activating a vehicle rider protection apparatus capable of preventing the erroneous activation caused by the failure or malfunctioning of the triggering circuit in the system. An acceleration sensor produces a vehicle acceleration signal, and it is processed independently by a digital signal processor and analog signal processing circuits, which produce trigger signals S.sub.A, S.sub.B and S.sub.D on detecting a collision of the vehicle. An OR gate takes logical sum of the signals S.sub.A and S.sub.B, and produces a trigger signal S.sub.C. An AND gate takes logical product of the signals S.sub.C and S.sub.D, and produces a final trigger signal S.sub.E. In response to the final trigger signal S.sub.E, a current is supplied to a squib, which then ignites and activates the vehicle rider protection apparatus. A diagnostic circuit applies a test signal to the analog signal processing circuits, and tests the operation of the circuits by analyzing the outputs of the circuits.
