摘要： Disclosed herein are a washing machine and a sound control method thereof that are capable of canceling noise generated during an operation of the washing machine and, at the same time, informing a user of information related to the operation of the washing machine using a sound. The sound control method includes operating the washing machine according to an inputted operation command, sensing noise generated during the operation of the washing machine, reading a sound to cancel the sensed noise, and outputting the read sound in a state in which the read sound is mapped with the noise. Consequently, it is possible mask the noise, thereby minimizing the noise. Also, it is possible to sense a start and an end of each operation and a change of the operation based on the noise pattern, sense a user's access to the washing machine, and output a feedback sound, thereby informing of the progress information of the washing machine.

摘要： Disclosed is a liquid crystal display (LCD) device equipped with a resin black matrix, capable of preventing the light leakage phenomenon by improving an OD (optical density) value of the resin black matrix. The LCD device includes an array substrate formed with a thin film transistor and a pixel electrode, a color filter substrate aligned opposite to the array substrate and formed with a resin black matrix and a color filter, a liquid crystal layer aligned between the array substrate and the color filter substrate, and lower and upper polarizing plates attached to outer surfaces of the array substrate and the color substrate and having transmission axes extending in the same direction. The resin black matrix has a transmission axis perpendicular to the transmission axes of the lower and upper polarizing plates so that the resin black matrix has a polarizing function.

摘要： Disclosed herein are a plastic microchip used in counting the number of microparticles and including direction indicators and a method for manufacturing the same. The plastic microchip includes a negative microgrid pattern formed on a lower substrate and direction indicators indicating the position of the microgrid pattern and formed in the vicinity of the microgrid pattern. The method for manufacturing the plastic microchip includes injection-molding a lower substrate including a negative microgrid pattern and direction indicators formed in the vicinity of the negative microgrid pattern, and injecting a solvent through solvent inlets so as to fix an upper substrate to the lower substrate. Accordingly, the present invention provides a plastic microchip including the direction indicators indicating the position of the microgrid pattern and formed on the lower substrate so that an observer can readily find the microgrid pattern through a microscope, thus facilitating the observation of a sample.
